Devinne graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics as a cum laude honors student from California State University of San Bernardino in December, 2022. Devinne is currently a graduate student at Southern New Hampshire University pursuing a Masters in Finance with a concentration in Investments, and is expected to graduate at the end of 2026. Devinne has an abundance of experience with students of all ages, tutoring a variety of subjects, with Mathematics being her main focus. She has a passion for working with children, especially for helping them to build confidence, expand their skill set, and equip them with the tools they need to achieve greatness in their education. During her free time, she loves to spend time with her fiancé, her two dogs Dominico and Dino, and her two parakeets Tundra and Tacoma.
Alexis has been working with kids both in and out of school since 2017. While tutoring multiple subjects, she found that she loved math the most. Because of her passion for math, she taught an Algebra course for 6th graders in 2022. She also specializes in tutoring children with learning disabilities, hoping to offer a safe and fun learning experience! Alexis believes that given the right atmosphere and tools, every kid can thrive. Alexis currently attends Vanguard University, aiming to get her degree in Biotechnology to pursue her love of math and science.
Joseph is recent Graduate from Vanguard University of Southern California with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Joseph is looking to pursue his master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Development at Wheaton College. Joseph loves meeting new people and he uses his love for math to impart knowledge to students wanting to know more about the topic of mathematics. Joseph has prior experience teaching math to kids at the Boys and Girls Club as well as tutoring college students in Calculus. During his free time he enjoys playing sports such as pickleball, tennis, volleyball, golf, and soccer.
Reanna graduated with a Bachelor's in Wildlife Biology and is passionate about learning and education. Math and science have always been her favorite subjects, and she enjoys helping others build an appreciation for them. She loves working with kids, encouraging them to explore their curiosity and to foster their creativity. At around age 14, she started volunteering at a summer camp and quickly realized she had a heart for working with children with special needs and learning disabilities. Outside of work, she loves all things nature - especially hiking and birding. As outdoorsy as she is, she also loves reading, gaming, or watching a good movie!
Ivan is a graduate student at the University of California, Riverside, with a passion for teaching students of various age groups. He has always found joy in Mathematics. Ivan firmly believes in the fundamental role math plays across a wide range of disciplines, emphasizing its importance in education and everyday life. He integrates this enthusiasm into his teaching, aiming to inspire others to appreciate the usefulness of math.
Catherine is currently a UC Irvine student studying Biological Sciences in hopes of making a difference in the healthcare field. She loves helping others understand different subjects, whether it be setting the foundations of addition for young students or helping her college peers decipher organic chemistry. Not only does she enjoy helping others learn, but she loves to learn herself as well, constantly striving to improve and be the best tutor she can be! Outside of studying and tutoring, she enjoys going for long walks outside and eating copious amounts of fast food.
Erin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona and is in the process of getting her Math Teaching Credentials at California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys working with kids of all ages and finds it very rewarding when she helps a student fully understand a concept that was giving them trouble before! Learning something new is always challenging, but sometimes all it takes is some guidance to master a subject. When she's not thinking about new ways to solve math problems, she's hanging out with her two cats and baking something for her friends and family.
Sean is a current senior at Fountain Valley Highschool and a 2nd year at Golden West College. He plans on applying directly to UCI for Fall of 2025 as an incoming junior for business administration. He has worked as a private math and piano tutor where he found a passion towards teaching. When winding down, he is willing to do anything that involves people (or cats).
Dillon is currently a full-time college student at OCC looking to transfer to UCI by Fall 2026. After transferring, he hopes to pursue a Bachelors in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine. He has been teaching at Mathnasium since November of 2022. In his free time, Dillon likes practicing piano or bass guitar and spending time with friends. His favorite part of Mathnasium is connecting the concepts with students and allowing them to find their "lightbulb moment."
Alex is attending the University of California, Irvine as an undeclared student interested in studying the environment. Her favorite part of working at Mathnasium is being able to connect with kids from different backgrounds and supporting them in their education. She wants to empower kids with the power to problem solve and ensure success in their future! Some of her hobbies include listening to music and shopping.
Natalie is a senior at Oxford Academy with plans to study computer science in college. She enjoys working with students of all ages and helping them succeed academically. At Mathnasium, her goal is to make math engaging and approachable by building students’ confidence to tackle any challenge they come across. Natalie believes every child can thrive with the right support and encouragement. Outside of teaching, she loves listening to music and exploring new cafes.
Julia is currently studying Biology at University of California, Irvine. She aspires to work in Pediatric Healthcare. She enjoys working with kids and has experience with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. She has taken high level math classes such as Calculus, Trigonometry, and Algebra and she understands that math can be difficult at times. However, that makes it all the more rewarding, once it is understood. Outside of work and school, Julia enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as doing arts and crafts such as Calligraphy. She is also a cat lover.
Dylan graduated as an AP/Honors senior at Costa Mesa High School in 2024. He currently a full time college student at Orange Coast College. He has been with Mathnasium since October of 2022 after being introduced to the company by a friend. Dylan has a passion for ensuring the growth of students and overcoming their biggest obstacles. He will help students learn to love math and hopes that he can make a difference in their academic lives.
