Devinne graduated cum laude from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Finance with a concentration in Investments from Southern New Hampshire University, with an expected graduation in 2027. Devinne has extensive tutoring experience across a variety of subjects and age groups, with a strong passion for math education.
She is dedicated to building students’ confidence and equipping them with the tools to achieve academic success. Outside of Mathnasium, Devinne enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs (Dominico and Dino), and parakeets (Tundra and Tacoma).
Nick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from Cal State Northridge and joined the Mathnasium team in 2014. After leading the Irvine center for two years and the Diamond Bar center for three, he returned to his hometown of Santa Clarita, where he now helps run two thriving locations.
Nick is passionate about creating a fun, engaging environment that helps students build confidence and master math. He believes in pushing students to reach their potential while making the learning process enjoyable. Outside the center, Nick enjoys sports, snowboarding, barbecues, reading, and competing in any game imaginable.
Sherin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. She first started at Mathnasium as an instructor in 2021. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Director and even helped establish Mathnasium of Valencia. Sherin has pursued a career at Mathnasium because she wants to make an impact in her community and she wants to help as many students as possible. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every student feels comfortable, confident, and can strive for excellence. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, shopping, and making new recipes.
Alexis has been working with children in educational and community settings since 2017. While tutoring across various subjects, she discovered her love for math and even taught an Algebra course for 6th graders in 2022. She also has a strong interest in supporting students with learning disabilities, striving to create an inclusive and encouraging learning space. Alexis believes that every child can thrive with the right tools and environment. She currently attends Vanguard University, where she is studying Biotechnology and pursuing her dual passion for math and science.
Alyssa graduated from University of California, Riverside, with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Education. Shortly after, she attended California State University, Long Beach, to obtain her teaching credential. Growing up, her favorite subject was math. She believes that students can reach their full potential with a positive learning environment and finding purpose through real world connections. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading, going to the beach with friends, and listening to music.
Robin, a UCSD graduate with degrees in Math, Computer Science, and Psychology, has a deep love of tutoring at Mathnasium. His personal goal is to someday be able to inspire his students as a teacher. Robin’s outside interests include writing, chess, walking, and reading.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cal Poly Pomona and is currently pursuing her Math Teaching Credential at California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys working with students of all ages and finds joy in helping them overcome academic challenges. Erin believes that with a bit of support and the right approach, every student can succeed. When she’s not thinking about creative ways to explain math concepts, Erin spends her time baking for friends and hanging out with her two cats.
Evan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Chinese. He aspires to become a teacher in the future. In his leisure time, he organizes a chess club, paints, and writes poetry.
Brooke is currently a student at Huntington Beach High School and LOVES math. She plans to major in Pre-Med at a four year university. In her free time, she enjoys playing her electric guitar and piano, painting, and going to coffee shops with her friends.
Samah was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and attended Boise State University for civil engineering and graduated in 2020. She moved to California with her then fiancé (now husband) in April 2024, and recently became a new mother. Math has always been a favorite subject and excelled the most in at school, and she felt confident enough to tutor it. Her first instructing positon was with Huntington Learning Center tutoring mathematics and science for 7 months. Samah enjoyed seeing her students improving their math skills as well as scoring well on their tests and raising their grades, all thanks to her help. She's extremely excited to be tutoring again with the Mathnasium team! When she's not helping students understanding various math concepts, she enjoys spending time creating works of art, writing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Catherine is currently pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine, with aspirations to make a difference in the healthcare field. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys guiding students of all ages—from helping young learners build math foundations to assisting peers with complex college-level coursework. Catherine believes learning is a lifelong journey and constantly looks for ways to improve as an instructor. When she’s not studying or tutoring, you’ll find her taking long walks or indulging in her love of fast food.
Alex is attending the University of California, Irvine as an undeclared student interested in studying the environment. Her favorite part of working at Mathnasium is being able to connect with kids from different backgrounds and supporting them in their education. She wants to empower kids with the power to problem solve and ensure success in their future! Some of her hobbies include listening to music and shopping.
Natalie is a senior at Oxford Academy with plans to study computer science in college. She enjoys working with students of all ages and helping them succeed academically. At Mathnasium, her goal is to make math engaging and approachable by building students’ confidence to tackle any challenge they come across. Natalie believes every child can thrive with the right support and encouragement. Outside of teaching, she loves listening to music and exploring new cafes.
Dillon is currently a full-time college student at OCC looking to transfer to UCI by Fall 2026. After transferring, he hopes to pursue a Bachelors in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine. He has been teaching at Mathnasium since November of 2022. In his free time, Dillon likes practicing piano or bass guitar and spending time with friends. His favorite part of Mathnasium is connecting the concepts with students and allowing them to find their "lightbulb moment."
Dylan graduated as an AP/Honors senior at Costa Mesa High School in 2024. He currently a full time college student at Orange Coast College. He has been with Mathnasium since October of 2022 after being introduced to the company by a friend. Dylan has a passion for ensuring the growth of students and overcoming their biggest obstacles. He will help students learn to love math and hopes that he can make a difference in their academic lives.
