Devinne graduated cum laude from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Finance with a concentration in Investments from Southern New Hampshire University, with an expected graduation in 2027. Devinne has extensive tutoring experience across a variety of subjects and age groups, with a strong passion for math education.
She is dedicated to building students’ confidence and equipping them with the tools to achieve academic success. Outside of Mathnasium, Devinne enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs (Dominico and Dino), and parakeets (Tundra and Tacoma).
Nick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from Cal State Northridge and joined the Mathnasium team in 2014. After leading the Irvine center for two years and the Diamond Bar center for three, he returned to his hometown of Santa Clarita, where he now helps run two thriving locations.
Nick is passionate about creating a fun, engaging environment that helps students build confidence and master math. He believes in pushing students to reach their potential while making the learning process enjoyable. Outside the center, Nick enjoys sports, snowboarding, barbecues, reading, and competing in any game imaginable.
Sherin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. She first started at Mathnasium as an instructor in 2021. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Director and even helped establish Mathnasium of Valencia. Sherin has pursued a career at Mathnasium because she wants to make an impact in her community and she wants to help as many students as possible. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every student feels comfortable, confident, and can strive for excellence. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, shopping, and making new recipes.
Alexis has been working with children in educational and community settings since 2017. While tutoring across various subjects, she discovered her love for math and even taught an Algebra course for 6th graders in 2022. She also has a strong interest in supporting students with learning disabilities, striving to create an inclusive and encouraging learning space. Alexis believes that every child can thrive with the right tools and environment. She recently graduated from Vanguard University with a degree in Biotechnology.
Robin, a UCSD graduate with a degree in Math and Computer Science and a minor in Psychology, has a deep love of tutoring at Mathnasium. His personal goal is to someday be able to inspire his students as a teacher. Robin’s outside interests include writing, chess, walking, and reading.
Alyssa graduated from University of California, Riverside, with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Education. Shortly after, she attended California State University, Long Beach, to obtain her teaching credential. Growing up, her favorite subject was math. She believes that students can reach their full potential with a positive learning environment and finding purpose through real world connections. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading, going to the beach with friends, and listening to music.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cal Poly Pomona and is currently pursuing her Math Teaching Credential at California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys working with students of all ages and finds joy in helping them overcome academic challenges. Erin believes that with a bit of support and the right approach, every student can succeed. When she’s not thinking about creative ways to explain math concepts, Erin spends her time baking for friends and hanging out with her two cats.
Evan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Chinese. He aspires to become a teacher in the future. In his leisure time, he organizes a chess club, paints, and writes poetry.
Angie is currently an AP/Honors junior at Fountain Valley High School who hopes to pursue a career in law and psychology. Her hobbies include baking and hiking as well as dedicating her free time volunteering with the youth and kids. Her goal as an instructor is to help kids love math as much as she does and soon become confident in their math skills.
Paxton is currently an AP/Honors Senior at Fountain Valley High School, and is hoping to pursue a career in Computer Engineering. He is a curious student who has multiple years of experience teaching younger kids with his knowledge. He finds great passion in pursuing his hobbies such as playing sports and volunteering at his local church. His goal is to help others in everything he does and wants to educate kids strengthen their math skills.
Kimberly is currently a AP/Honors student at Fountain Valley High School who wants to spread her lifelong passion for math with other students. She believes that any student can succeed in math, and hopes to inspire other students to continue exploring what the world of math has to offer. She spends a lot of her free time doing math problems, but you can also find Kimberly running, coding, or playing guitar.
Alan is a senior at Fountain Valley High School, currently enrolled in AP and Honors courses. With a strong passion for mathematics, he is eager to share his enthusiasm and knowledge with students at Mathnasium. He finds great fulfillment in helping students grow and improve over time. Outside of academics, Alan enjoys biking, playing soccer, and exploring new places.
Anthony is an AP/Honors Junior at Edison High School and is hoping to pursue a career in anesthesiology. He enjoys playing basketball with his friends, watching ice hockey, and eating new foods. His goal is to create a fun and engaging environment for kids to love and enjoy math.
Caydence is an AP/Honors Junior at Edison High School who is hoping to pursue a career either as a nurse or pediatrician. She aspires to be someone that pushes students to learn different ways to succeed in math. Outside of academics, she has a great passion for dance and loves to sing and play instruments.
Yan is an AP/Honors student at Fountain Valley High School and is planning to pursue a career in chemistry. In her free time, Yan enjoys playing the violin, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to working with the kids to help them grow academically.
