Hello, I am Dr. Vinod Vaidyanath, proud owner of Mathnasium of Franklin. With experience teaching at the community college level and university level, along with years working in high-tech and finance, I have seen firsthand how critical a strong math foundation is—not just for school, but for life. One thing I have noticed consistently, even at the college level, is that many students struggle because early math gaps were never fully addressed. My goal is to help K–12 students build those foundations the right way—step by step—so math feels logical, approachable, and achievable.
Math does not have to be stressful or intimidating. When concepts are taught through number sense and understanding, fear turns into confidence. With a background in both education and banking, Shoba has built a unique career centered around teaching and helping others grow. It all started in the classroom — working as a Montessori teacher, where a deep love for working with children and a passion for math came to life every day. Looking for a new challenge, the transition to banking eventually led to a Corporate Trainer position — a role that brought teaching back to the forefront, this time in a professional setting.
The common thread throughout it all? A love for math and a heart for teaching children.
