Maria has been working in education since 1994 after earning her Master’s in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. A credentialed teacher, Maria is passionate about creating learning environments that empower students to think independently, solve problems, and make meaningful discoveries.
As Center Director and Owner, Maria brings decades of classroom and curriculum development experience to Mathnasium. She is dedicated to helping students build confidence in math through a supportive and engaging approach aligned with the Mathnasium Method™.
Larry Martinek
Larry Martinek, Chief Instructional Officer, Developer of Mathnasium Program.
Larry has spent his career finding better ways to teach math. As a classroom teacher and educational consultant, he has worked in public, private, and magnet schools, designing instructional materials that help students understand math in a meaningful way.
As the creator of the Mathnasium Method™, Larry developed one of the most effective math programs in the world. While not a regular instructor at our center, he remains a key resource for our team and continues to influence how students learn and enjoy math at Mathnasium.

Dan brings over 27 years of experience in information technology and education to Mathnasium. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Lima and Columbia University and has worked as a data analyst, systems engineer, and senior executive in business intelligence.
As Corporate Officer, Dan oversees daily operations and leads the High Math and College Prep programs. With a strong background in teaching math at the high school and college levels, he is committed to helping students excel through personalized instruction and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
