This program is designed for current 8th grade students preparing for the January 2027 Career Academy entrance exam. Admission is highly competitive, and students often need to score within 0.6 points of the cutoff to be considered for acceptance.
While preparation alone cannot guarantee admission, our goal is to reduce uncertainty on exam day by giving students a structured review of the skills and topics most relevant to the test. The program includes 24 hours of instruction, weekly one-hour math review sessions, an initial assessment to create an individualized math learning plan, and four practice exams to help students become familiar with the format and question types they may see on the admission exam.

All materials and services offered by New Jersey Prep or other third parties are independently developed and provided and are not affiliated with MCVSD.
How it works |
| SKILL REVIEW & DEVELOPMENT: We review the skills and topics relevant to the test. For students to do their best, they will have intense drilling of problems to sharpen computational skills supervised by an instructor. |
| LOGIC AND REASONING: Proprietary Mathnasium materials are customized to each student's knowledge gaps and help students build the logic and reasoning skills needed to succeed on the exam. |
| WEEKLY HOMEWORK AND MASTERY CHECK: Students receive weekly homework and completed Mastery checks to reinforce individual skills, monitor progress, and identify areas that need additional review. |
| EXAM PRACTICE: Students will have 5 Full Practice Exams. The Practice Exam is done at the Center on scheduled days, then instructors will review answers with the student at the end of the practice test, building the student's understanding of Exam-style questions. |

No makeup dates for missing sessions or Practice tests. Materials for missing dates will be provided. You agree to the contract and consecutive payments as scheduled.
