Kaitlin earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University before beginning her career at a global banking institution in New York City. While working there, she discovered Mathnasium and decided to combine her love of math with her dream of owning a business. She opened her first center in 2013, blending her two greatest passions—math and children.
She loves watching students grow from discouraged learners into confident problem-solvers. Kaitlin hopes every child who attends Mathnasium develops the same love of math that she carries. In her free time, she enjoys exploring New York’s neighborhoods.
Sabrina recently graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and will continue her education by pursuing her MBA at St. John’s. During college, she was also a member of the university softball team, where she developed valuable leadership, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and time management skills.
Sabrina is passionate about helping students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills in math. She believes every student can succeed when they are given the right support, encouragement, and learning environment. Sabrina enjoys creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions. She values building strong relationships with both students and families and takes pride in helping students become more independent, motivated learners over time.
Avneet recently completed her undergraduate degree in Computer Science at St. John's University. In the fall, she plans to begin pursuing her Master's in Data Science as she works toward her goal of becoming a data scientist in the future.
Outside of academics, Avneet enjoys exploring nature parks, discovering new places around the city, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. She loves working with students because she enjoys helping them build confidence in their math skills and making challenging concepts feel more approachable and enjoyable. Seeing students grow, overcome challenges, and feel proud of their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching for her.
Clarice is a sophomore at The Cooper Union majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She has experience volunteering as a tutor for elementary school students and is passionate about helping young learners develop their mathematical skills.
As a Mathnasium instructor, Clarice strives to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, working through challenges, and learning from their mistakes. She enjoys helping students build the confidence and problem-solving intuition needed to succeed both in math and beyond. Outside of academics, Clarice enjoys reading and writing in her free time.
Kris recently graduated from high school and will be attending Fordham University this fall, where he plans to major in Finance and minor in Accounting. Kris has experience tutoring students in grades 1–8 and previously served as a high school peer tutor in Geometry, Algebra I, and Algebra II.
Kris enjoys working with students because of his passion for mathematics and the opportunity to help others build confidence in their skills. He believes that while math can sometimes be challenging, it can also be engaging, rewarding, and even fun. His goal is to help students develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts that they can apply both in the classroom and in everyday life. Outside of Mathnasium, Kris enjoys playing the guitar, participating in MMA, playing volleyball, and following football and baseball. He is excited to share his enthusiasm for learning and help students discover their own appreciation for math.
Sameeha is currently a fourth-year student at The City College of New York, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology. After completing her undergraduate studies, she plans to pursue a master’s degree and hopes to build a career in neuropsychology or forensic psychology. Outside of academics, Sameeha enjoys journaling, attending concerts, and exploring new places with friends.
As a Mathnasium instructor, Sameeha is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking on new challenges. She believes every student can succeed when given the opportunity to learn in a positive, judgment-free space. Sameeha enjoys helping students strengthen their mathematical skills, build confidence in their abilities, and develop a growth mindset by viewing mistakes as an important part of the learning process.
Zarif recently graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. In the fall, he plans to continue his education by pursuing a master’s degree in Computational Biology, combining his interests in mathematics, computing, and the life sciences. Outside of academics, Zarif enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, working on his car, and spending time with friends and family.
As a Mathnasium instructor, Zarif believes that every student has the ability to succeed in math with the right guidance and support. He enjoys helping students build confidence in their skills and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. His teaching approach focuses on adapting lessons to each student's individual learning style, needs, and goals while creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
