Fun Calendar: December 2025

Nov 21, 2025 | Frisco East

At Mathnasium, we make learning math fun! In an effort to further enhance our students enjoyment of our math learning center, we have a monthly fun calendar (downloadable image shared below).

Our Fun Calendar is additional fun that does not detract from a student's instructional time; students are welcome to stay beyond their normal session to complete the activity for additional reward stamps.

Dress Up Days

We encourage students to dress to the theme for additional stamps.

  • December 23: Pajama Day

Giveaway Days

Mathnasium will provide treats to enrolled students who come to the learning center for a scheduled session.

  • December 8: Brownie Day
  • December 13: Hot Chocolate Day
  • December 18: Take Home Cookie Recipe

Participation Days

These are days where your student just needs to show up. You may want to plan to pick them up 5-15 minutes later than normal so they are able to complete the activity without cutting into their normal learning session time.

  • December 2: Dice Day
  • December 3: Emoji Math
  • December 4: Reindeer Logic
  • December 6: 67 Puzzle
  • December 9: Tessellation Trees
  • December 10-11: Winter Tangrams
  • December 15-16: 3D Dreidel Net Activity
  • December 17: Emoji Math
  • December 20: Holiday Tunes
  • December 22: Koch Snowflakes
  • December 27: Make Cut Out Snowflakes Day
  • December 29-30: New Year's Goals Sheet

Snowball Fight

In addition to the fun activities our learning center will be hosting throughout December 2025, all of our Mathnasium students will be participating in Snowball Fight. Snowball Fight is a team Mastery Check challenge. All of our enrolled students are sorted into one of four teams - Team Snowmen, Team Gingerbread, Team Reindeer, and Team Elves. Each time a student completes a Mastery Check, they get to "throw" a "snowball" at an opposing team. At the end of December, the team who had the least number of snowballs thrown at them gets first place and the team with the most snowballs thrown at them gets last place. Since everyone is a winner at Mathnasium, all teams will receive at least one full reward card for event participation. But the top performing teams will receive additional reward cards for their success.

A Mastery Check is a one page quiz at the end of a concept in a student's Mathnasium curriculum. This is the student's way of showing mastery of a new math skill, before we move them along to the next assignment in their curriculum plan.
