Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Haya I.

Center Director

My name is Haya, and I am the Center Director for Mathnasium Fullerton. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Business Analytics at CSUF. Even though I am in a business field, I have had a passion for mathematics for most of my life.

I am very devoted to helping our students build confidence in themselves and in their math skills so they can excel in whatever they choose to pursue. I love hearing about their days and helping motivate them to reach for the stars. I look forward to getting to know you better and assist your child in achieving their academic goals.

Avishi B.

Assistant Director

Avishi is currently a freshman at Fullerton Community College studying Architecture. She plans on transferring to UCLA or UC Berkeley. Avishi loves teaching students and her favorite subject in math is Geometry. Avishi has taught students math all throughout high school and majority of middle school. Outside of math Avishi enjoys music, art, singing, and roller-skating.

Carlos E.

Lead Instructor

Carlos is currently a student at Fullerton College, majoring in chemistry. He enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends. His goal is to become a high school chemistry teacher, aiming to be a positive role model for students and to demonstrate how exciting chemistry can be! Carlos believes that math plays a crucial role in understanding chemistry, as it helps explain concepts like chemical reactions and formulas. This connection between math and chemistry is part of the reason he wants to work at Mathnasium—he’s eager to help students strengthen their math skills and see how they apply to real-world sciences. In his spare time, Carlos loves hitting the gym, shopping at thrift stores, and attending local band shows.

Dylan D.

Instructor

Dylan is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley, where he majored in Statistics and Mathematics. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain climbing, drawing, and solo traveling. Teaching mathematics has been a consistent part of Dylan’s life, from working as an SAT instructor in high school to serving as a Linear Algebra teaching assistant in college. He was inspired to become the kind of teacher he liked having growing up. Dylan understands how daunting and intimidating math can feel, so he focuses on making it approachable, building his students’ confidence, and helping them find the fun in the problem solving process.

Jenna S.

Instructor

Jenna is a current senior at Troy High School. She plans to attend Purdue University or UCSD to pursue in medical field. Growing up, Jenna has always had a strong interest in mathematics and enjoys helping others develop an interest in the subject as well. Throughout high school, she has tutored her peers and supported other students in building their confidence and understanding of math. Outside of school, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves traveling, and getting to know new people.

Jacob L.

Instructor

Jacob is a student at CSUF studying linguistics. He loves helping others succeed! Outside of work and school, he loves serving in church, playing music, climbing, traveling, and learning languages. Currently, he is fluent in French and Chinese and is working on Spanish. His plan for the future is to be a language teacher abroad.

Alyse G.

Instructor

Alyse is currently a freshman at Fullerton College and plans to transfer after 2 years. Other than math, she loves all things creative especially the performing arts. Her love for teaching came from growing up in a big family. As one of the oldest, she found herself helping out younger family members with schoolwork and realized she not only enjoyed it, but also was good at explaining things in a way people understood specifically with math. Alyse understands and relates to kids and wants to bring that to Mathnasium in hopes to get them just as excited about math as she is.

Keilani Z.

Instructor
Keilani is a 3rd year at CSUF, studying Business Admin with an HR concentration and Marketing minor. She has always loved tutoring math and building rapport with her tutees. In her free time, she loves reading, playing video games, and getting sweet treats.
