Dipti and Bhavin Shah are the proud co-owners of Mathnasium of Fuquay-Varina. Their journey with Mathnasium began when their 10-year-old daughter joined the program and discovered how much it helped her grow in confidence and understanding. Seeing her excitement as she learned new concepts inspired them to bring Mathnasium to their community.
Bhavin, a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Computer Engineering and an MBA, spent many years in the technology industry solving complex problems and leading teams. Together, Dipti and Bhavin are dedicated to helping students learn math in a way that builds lasting confidence.
Colin joined Mathnasium out of a genuine passion for math and a love of helping others learn. He brings patience, encouragement, and enthusiasm to every session, guiding students to build confidence and understanding one step at a time. His calm approach and positive attitude make learning both productive and enjoyable.
Outside of Mathnasium, Colin enjoys spending time with friends and volunteering at his local church. He believes learning math is not only about solving problems but also about developing focus, persistence, and self-belief that lasts a lifetime.
Nathan graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy and minors in German and Microbiology. During his time at NC State, he tutored both Quantitative and Organic Chemistry, which deepened his interest in teaching and supporting students through challenging material.
At Mathnasium, Nathan strives to make math approachable, engaging, and fun for learners of all ages. Whether helping students master arithmetic, tackle algebra, or prepare for exams, he believes every child can grow their confidence and love of learning through math.
Muhammad believes that math is more than numbers — it’s a way to build confidence and solve real-world problems step by step. He loves helping students uncover their potential and discover how logical thinking can be both empowering and fun.
He joined Mathnasium to be part of a team that views math as both art and language, blending creativity with precision. Outside of teaching, Muhammad enjoys basketball, spending time with family and friends, and staying active in his community.
Hi I am Wendy Kennedy.
I am a computer engineer and have worked in many disciplines in my career. I completely understand you and your child's concerns over Math. I had them too as a child. It seemed overwhelming and I was always wondering how I could get through them. My parents got me a great tutor and it worked! This is why I took the job here at Mathnasium. My niece also wanted help and was sent to a Mathnasium and it was the best thing for her. I also want to give back and help any student out there to secure their future in Math.
Mr. Nair is an Assistant Center Director in Fuquay Varina, committed to improving how children perceive and engage with mathematics. With a deep-rooted passion for learning and a proven track record in instructional leadership, he helps a team of skilled instructors who deliver customized, engaging math programs tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style. His primary mission is to bridge foundational gaps in math, strengthen core math concepts, and ensure every child progresses with confidence.
Mr. Nair believes that math anxiety is not innate but learned—and therefore reversible. By fostering a positive, supportive environment, he helps students replace frustration with excitement, turning “I can’t math” into “I am good at math.” The Mathnasium approach includes regular progress assessments, parent communication, and motivational strategies that celebrate small victories and cultivate resilience. Beyond the classroom, he champions math literacy as a critical life skill, equipping kids not just for exams but for logical thinking, problem-solving, and future success in STEM fields.
