The Story of Your Local Mathnasium - Gainesville

Jun 24, 2023 | Gainesville

1. When was your center/re’s grand opening??

A: We had our grand opening in March of 2017. In fact, it was the day after Pi Day that we began our journey to help students with math!

2. Of all your employees, who has been with you the longest?

A: Jack is currently our instructor who has been with us the longest, three years total. He's been with us since COVID so he is familiar with in-person and virtual instruction and he's comfortable with all levels of math, even up to college-level courses! He's great with elementary math, but he enjoys the challenge of teaching upper-level math courses like Calculus and Statistics.

3. Who is the owner/director of your center?

A: Our owner, Jason Reeves, has been with us since opening day. He previously worked as a principal and decided to open Mathnasium after seeing a need for it in the community.

4. What local schools does your center serve?

A: We serve students from all over Gainesville! We help with students from private schools like Queen of Peace, St. Patrick, and Oak Hall. Our younger students are from schools like Kimball Wiles Elementary, Howard W. Bishop Middle, Kanapaha Middle, Oak View Middle and Westwood Middle. For our students studying at a high school level, Buchholz High, Gainesville High, and P.K. Yonge are the most popular schools. We have students who are homeschooled, too!

5. What are parents saying about your center?

A: "Jack is very skilled and has greatly helped our child with competitive mathematics."

"Mathnasium has been so beneficial for my son. He has gained more confidence with his math skills."

"I absolutely loved seeing the confidence [my daughter] gained in math because of the extra time spent at Mathnasium. She has done so well this year and we could not be more proud/happy with her transition from elementary to middle school math."

"Excellent program that has benefitted our kids tremendously! They are both flourishing well. Much appreciation!"
