Alexander is the Center Director for Mathnasium of Gambrills, where he shares his passion for math education with local students. Since 2019, he has worked at various Mathnasium locations, learning new teaching strategies and connecting with families.
Alexander studied Mathematics and Statistics and has a deep appreciation for numbers and problem-solving. His teaching experience includes roles at AACPS, the Red Cross, and as a certified ABA Therapist. Outside of Mathnasium, Alexander enjoys cooking, boating, and spending time with his dog, Rocky. He is committed to helping every student succeed and build confidence in math.
Aloha! Ashley is a Lead Instructor at Mathnasium of Gambrills and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Southern New Hampshire University. Born and raised on the island of O'ahu, she now lives in Maryland with her husband, who is stationed there with the Navy.
In her spare time, Ashley loves playing Yu-Gi-Oh! at the local game store, where she is also an active judge for major tournaments, including Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events. She dreams of one day judging for the World Championship Series and enjoys traveling across the country for competitions.
Brigit plays lacrosse and had two cats. Her favorite math concept is the quadratic formula!
Elyse is a rising college freshman and will be studying Computer Engineering at Cal Poly State University. She likes to run and build Lego! Her favorite mathematical concepts is the Pythagorean Theorem, since it’s something that can be found in basically any STEM field if you look close enough. She also love the Fibonacci sequence, since it’s such a cool way to see how math can be found in nature.
Kendal is an instructor at Mathnasium of Gambrills and he is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from UMBC. Kendal likes to play guitar, collect trading cards and hike! He has a big passion for travel, he is currently very interested in visiting all the national parks! Some notable ones he’s already been to are Zion, Arches, White Sands and Grand Canyon, as well as many others.
Neil-Peace loves reading, trivia, and going on road trips. She's read over 75 books in the past year! Her favorite mathematical concept is greatest common factor and least common multiple, because it's a fun way to exercise multiplication memory.
Joseph is a cybersecurity major, and his hobbies include reading, solving puzzles, playing video games, and skateboarding. His favorite number is 11, because when you square or cube it, it is still a palindrome!
Eva hopes to double major in music performance and applied mathematics. Her hobbies include playing viola, sewing, and chess. Her favorite mathematical concept is the Fibonacci Sequence, because it's simple yet found everywhere in nature!
Hayden plans to study computer engineering at the University of Maryland. Outside of work, he enjoys bouldering and playing Magic the Gathering. His favorite number is 13 because he was born on the 13th!
Monty is currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at UMBC. Outside of work, he loves to learn about new math concepts, read, and play tabletop games. He lives on a farm with two horses, eight chickens, two dogs, and a cat. His favorite math concept is polar form complex numbers, because they tie together algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and complex numbers!
