Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Kevin Baird-Clement

Assistant Center Director

Kevin brings a wealth of classroom experience to Mathnasium, having spent seven years as a substitute and full-time science teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools. His desire for more personalized learning led him to join Mathnasium, where he enjoys helping students understand challenging math concepts in a supportive environment.

Kevin loves witnessing students overcome obstacles and gain confidence in their math skills. Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys playing video games, watching anime, and traveling—he’s always adding new countries to his "visited" list. His dream is to one day voice act for his favorite media.

Peter is also part of the National Honor Society, where he tutors fellow students in math. His love for problem-solving and technology drives his ambition to study computer science in college. He is thrilled to share his enthusiasm for math with students at Mathnasium.

Thomas Hosea

Instructor

Hello! My name is Thomas Hosea and I am currently a junior at AACS in Severn, MD as of 2024. I enjoy

playing soccer for my school and lifting weights on my free time. Math is something I have always

enjoyed and loved to learn about and has led me to taking multiple online college courses for math and

taking an internship at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, MD. Mathnasium has given me the

opportunity to spread my love for math by helping others understand concepts that might hinder them

in their progress.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
