Kevin Baird-Clement

Assistant Center Director
I worked for Montgomery County Public School for 7 years as a substitute and full-time Science teacher. The desire for a more one-on-one tutoring experience prompted a switch to working with Mathnasium, where I have had the oppurtunity to help many students become more comfortable with differnt math concepts that they previously found difficult. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, and watching anime. I hope to one day get the chance to voice act for these forms of media, but, until then, I will continue to add more countries to my "visited" list.

Ashley Larsen

Lead Instructor
Aloha! My name Ashley and I am a Lead Instructor for Mathnasium of Gambrills. I'm currently attending Southern New Hampshire University working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. I was born and raised on the island of O'ahu for the first 21 years of my life. My husband is in the Navy and currently stationed in Maryland for the time being. We both enjoy playing video games and watching anime together. In addition, I like to spend my free time playing Yu-Gi-Oh! at the local game store with my husband. I am also very active in the judging community for the game in which I get to work large events known as Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship series. Some of the places that I've traveled to because of my Yu-Gi-Oh! include Austin, TX, Las Vegas, NV, San Diego, CA, Rosemont, IL, and New York, NY to name a few. My goal is to eventually judge for the World Championship Series one day! But until then, I enjoy every place this wonderful activity takes me, along with the wonderful experiences I get to create when doing so.

Peter D’Amico

Hello! I am Peter D’Amico, and as of 2024 I am a Senior at Archbishop Spalding High School. I love to

code games, play chess, and mountain bike in my free time. I hope to major in computer science in

college. I am a part of Spalding’s Robotics team where I help to create a new robot each year. At

Spalding, I am a member of the National Honor Society and help to tutor fellow students. I have always

loved math and helping others, and am happy I get the chance to teach others at Mathnasium.

Thomas Hosea

Instructor

Hello! My name is Thomas Hosea and I am currently a junior at AACS in Severn, MD as of 2024. I enjoy

playing soccer for my school and lifting weights on my free time. Math is something I have always

enjoyed and loved to learn about and has led me to taking multiple online college courses for math and

taking an internship at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, MD. Mathnasium has given me the

opportunity to spread my love for math by helping others understand concepts that might hinder them

in their progress.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
