An Amazing Digital Platform!
We love the environment and dynamic we've crafted over the years for our students and instructors! So we made sure Mathnasium@home wasn't just another website loaded with math info. Instead, we created a platform that revolves around personal engagement for every student and gets as close to in-person instruction as possible!
Our students have real-time conversations with instructors, use a digital writing tool to get as close to pen-and-paper as possible on a digital platform, and even participate in our stamp card reward program, all without leaving their home!
We're all looking forward to getting back to the center. But in the meantime, we're proud to say that we've succeeded in bringing the center to you, from start to finish!
Life-changing Assessments
In school, students get sorted for all kinds of reasons. In some ways, that can be helpful! But for many students, being judged by the scores they’ve gotten on tests or the grades they’re getting in class can be a sore subject. It can lead them to start getting frustrated and aggravated about any kind of learning!
To combat the fear and anxiety that can come with test-taking and grading, we crafted an assessment process that focuses on identifying and examining both strengths and weaknesses.
Based on the assessment, we create a learning plan that’s customized for every single student. We don’t reteach what they know, but we use that knowledge to help students deeply understand new concepts!
This gives students the freedom to work at their own pace, in their own unique way.
With the right attitude and the right resources, it’s no wonder our students are always improving!

Game-changing instructors
Our instructors are hand-picked from local college and university STEM programs with a few important criteria in mind.
First, we make sure they have the math knowledge needed to teach well with a rigorous skills assessment. You might be surprised to find out that less than 5% of applicants pass it!
Next, we evaluate their communication and teaching skills by asking them to "teach" us a few difficult concepts.
Once we’ve determined that they’re a good fit, they'll undergo a six-month training process that combines digital lectures, hands-on practice alongside an experienced instructor, and continuous coaching to make sure every one of our staff members is ready to work with your student at maxiumum efficiency!
They’re the biggest reason we’re confident in saying that we will help your student to succeed!
Each of our instructors works one-to-one with students in a small group environment. Your student will receive a healthy blend of direct attention and guided practice, ensuring that when they take tests and quizzes in class, they’re ready to rise to the occasion!

Grade-changing curriculum
Each of our instructors is trained to teach alongside the Mathnasium Method, an expert-developed and time-tested curriculum that focuses on deep understanding!
The Mathnasium Method helps students build on their current knowledge to learn tough new concepts. Instead of just drilling to memorize information or finding strange, roundabout ways to explain things, the guiding thought of the Mathnasium Method is to make math make sense!
For so many students, this thought is a breath of fresh air! It allows them to find their own best method, and make sense of any method that’s being taught in class.
The Mathnasium Method is structured around the Common Core State Standards, meaning that the materials your student will work on during their session are directly relevant to what they need to know for class!
As an added benefit, our assessment process will identify difficult concepts from previous years that we can address with your student, something that might never happen at school!
