Benson Phung

Hi there! My name is Benson Phung. I graduated from UCI major in Physics. Math is an imperative skill that I believe every student should succeed in. Whether it be calculating change at a restaurant to finding the tangent line of a curve, math has wide applications for both general use in life and advanced. As someone who had a hard time initially in becoming enthusiastic about math, and STEM in general, Mathnasium has shown me that they are committed to not only help students become efficient at math, but also motivate students with the subject. I want to do the best I can to help students improve and hone their mathematical thinking and skills and find enjoyment, and the methods that Mathnasium employ like Socratic thinking are pedagogical techniques I believe help facilitate this. When I’m not studying for university, I enjoy hiking at the beach or mountains, cooking, and listening to a variety of music.
