Hello! My name is Minh and I have recently graduated from CSULB with a Master’s degree in Mathematics. Math is a fundamental subject that plays a critical role in our daily lives and contributes to many fields such as science, technology, engineering, and finance. It helps us develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills that are useful not only in academic pursuits but also in the workplace and everyday decision-making. Mathnasium is an educational method that focuses on building a strong foundation in math concepts through personalized and engaging instruction. By using this method, students can develop a love for math and gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits. In addition to my passion for math, I love playing sports, especially soccer and enjoy playing as a goalie.
Hi there! My name is Benson. I have a Physics degree and I am currently studying for my Teaching Credential. Math is an imperative skill that I believe every student should succeed in. Whether it be calculating change at a restaurant to finding the tangent line of a curve, math has wide applications for both general use in life and advanced. As someone who had a hard time initially in becoming enthusiastic about math, and STEM in general, Mathnasium has shown me that they are committed to not only help students become efficient at math, but also motivate students with the subject. I can help students improve and hone their mathematical thinking and skills and at the same time find enjoyment in learning. The methods that Mathnasium employs Socratic thinking are pedagogical techniques that I believe help facilitate retention learning and having fun learning math. When I’m not studying at the university, I enjoy hiking at the beach or mountains, cooking, and listening to a variety of music.
