Zoe is a senior at Arizona College Prep High School and has worked with kids for many years. She assisted in a special education classroom for a year in middle school, and then in high school spent two years in a program where she rotated through classrooms at Ryan Elementary, observing and helping the teachers with instruction and behavioral issues. After observing many teaching styles, she recognizes how important it is for students to form close relationships and connections with other students and instructors to learn effectively while also having fun. Her goal at Mathnasium is to bring a smile to every kid's face that walks in the door and establish a caring, supportive relationship with every student. She loves working with kids and is planning on pursuing a psychology degree to eventually become a pediatric clinical psychologist. Fun facts: She has traveled to Honduras on a mission trip and has been to 20+ national parks and monuments. She also did gymnastics for 8 years and currently plays volleyball. Favorite math joke: Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9!
Noah recently graduated from Heritage Academy high school, where he was able to work as an English teacher for students who had struggled in past English classes. He believes that an educator is someone who helps a student thrive in a learning environment while being able to learn through support and patience. He adores working at Mathnasium because it helps him practice instructing for his career (he plans to be a high school teacher) because of the supportive and encouraging culture and because he gets to work with many different kinds of people who are all there with the same goal. He has had the pleasure and privilege of spending five semesters teaching before even going to college or working with the Mathnasium team.
Jonah has completed math coursework through Calculus III at Mesa Community College and holds an Associate’s degree in Science. Passionate about math and learning, he enjoys helping students build understanding and confidence one step at a time.
He’s excited to work at Mathnasium because it allows him to share his love of math in a supportive, student-centered environment. A proud cartoon and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast, Jonah’s favorite math joke is: “The minus sign asked, ‘Do I make a difference?’ The plus sign replied, ‘I’m positive!’”
Aneesh is a high school senior and has spent many years tutoring students in STEM subjects. He has taken courses through Calculus and Statistics. Aneesh’s inspiration to be an instructor stems from his personal experiences with the Mathnasium Program at a young age. This first hand experience allows him to recognize the challenges of math while also knowing how to approach it. Additionally, he strongly believes that mistakes are not failures, they are steps to deeper understanding. Favorite math joke: What’s a math teacher’s favorite place in NYC? Times Square. Fun Fact: Aneesh is an only child. He enjoys solving puzzles and can solve a rubik’s cube in under a minute. He loves trading stock options and leveraged crypto trading.
