Lower Elementary:

Question: Terry has 100 feet of yarn. She cuts it into three pieces to make yarn necklaces. The first piece is 28 feet long. The second piece is 39 feet long. How long is the third piece?

 

Upper Elementary:

Question: In a piggy bank, half of the coins are quarters, there are 90¢ worth of dimes, and the remaining 6 coins are nickels. How much money is in the piggy bank?

 

Middle School:

Question: A laptop’s battery went from half charged to 70% charged in 20 minutes. At this rate, how long would it take the battery to fully charge if it started at 0%?

 

Algebra and Up:

Question: A rectangle has a width that is twice as long as its length. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 42 inches, what is the area of the rectangle?
