Jamil Batshoun

Assistant Center Director
Jamil graduated with a Physics major from California State University, East Bay. Beyond his academic pursuits, he enjoys gaming, gardening, cooking, running, and has a unique interest in Flat Spectrum Radio Quasars. He finds satisfaction at Mathnasium when students gain confidence and reduce learning stress. An interesting fact about Jamil is his time spent working with space telescopes and astronomers in Arizona.

Alicia Prince

Instructor
Alicia is a Computer Science student at Cal Poly Pomona who enjoys spending time with friends, watching sitcoms, working out, and taking nature walks. She is passionate about Mathnasium's individualized approach to fostering a love for math in kids. A fun fact about Alicia is that she was born outside the U.S.—be sure to ask her where when you come in!

Tristan Marshall

Instructor
Tristan is a Statistics major with a minor in History, and he has a deep passion for sports, especially the Dodgers, as well as pop culture, including Star Wars and superheroes. He also enjoys writing, playing video games, and watching movies. At Mathnasium, Tristan combines his love for math with his enthusiasm for working with kids, making it a truly rewarding experience. A fun fact about Tristan is that he's the oldest of four siblings, with ages ranging from 15 years old to just 1.5 years old.

Alejandra Cermeno

Education Specialist
Alejandra graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Shortly after graduation, Alejandra joined the Mathnasium of Pasadena team as an instructor and advanced her way to Center Director over the course of 3 years. As Education Specialist, she is now in charge of all student learning plans, training of new instructors, and furthering the training of current instructors.

Andrew Molina

District Manager
Andrew graduated from the University of San Diego in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. After graduation, he joined the team at Mathnasium of South Pasadena as a Math Instructor. After moving his way up to Lead Instructor and Assistant Center Director, Andrew became the Center Director for the Mathnasium of South Pasadena. Due to the wonderful time he had to manage the South Pasadena center over the course of 3 years, Andrew looks forward to his new role as District Manager. As District Manager Andrew will oversee the management of the Mathnasium centers located in Monterey Park, Pasadena, San Marino, and South Pasadena. He is excited to continue to provide top-tier customer service at each Mathnasium location as well as helping build his students’ confidence so they can succeed at any goal they set for themselves.

Daniela Mesa

District Support Specialist
Daniela graduated from the University of Southern California in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics. She joined the Mathnasium of Pasadena team and served as their Assistant Center Director from 2022 - 2024. As our District Support Specialist, she works with centers in our local district to ensure that we never miss a beat and continue providing only the highest quality math instruction for our students.

Hayley Milleson

Assistant Center Director
Haley is one of our newest instructors and is currently training to become our lead instructor. She attended Charter Oak High School, where she was a member of the swim team. Haley is eager to work with kids and to embrace Mathnasium's unique approach to teaching math. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and binge-watching shows on Netflix. Haley has a diverse collection of pets, including chickens, turtles, dogs, fish, and her newest additions—axolotls! She is excited to explore new ways of teaching math and to build strong relationships with our students.

Kayla Mochizuki

Instructor
Kayla Mochizuki is currently attending UC San Diego, where she is majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. She joined the Mathnasium team in August 2024 with a passion for helping students think more creatively about math and making it enjoyable for those who might not yet love the subject. In her free time, Kayla enjoys cooking, reading, and watching reality TV. A fun fact about Kayla is that she spent a summer living in Japan. We are thrilled to welcome her to our team and look forward to seeing her grow with us.
