Jonathan has been with Mathnasium since 2017 and brings deep expertise in the Mathnasium Method™. He holds a degree in Mathematics from California State University, Northridge, where he discovered his passion for math through a statistics course originally required for his sociology major.
In addition to his leadership at the Center, Jonathan tutors for CSUN’s Developmental Math Program. He loves guiding students toward their “aha” moments and works diligently to help every learner reach those breakthroughs. Jonathan is widely regarded as one of Mathnasium’s most dedicated and effective Center Directors.
Rheya is currently pursuing a degree in Engineering at Pierce College. She enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with friends, and brings the same energy and positivity into every session at Mathnasium.
Rheya is passionate about making up for the learning gaps students may have experienced in school. She values the opportunity to help students truly understand math concepts they may have missed and works to support their growth with encouragement and care.
Jesse graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a degree in Math – Secondary Teaching. His professional focus centers on making math more approachable for students by simplifying complex topics through the Mathnasium Method™.
With a love for astronomy, computer engineering, and video games, Jesse connects with students on multiple levels. He is passionate about helping students build a strong understanding of math that empowers them both in school and in life.
Ben is studying Mathematics at California State University, Northridge. He enjoys chess, reading, hiking, and trips to the beach, and brings a thoughtful and calm approach to his teaching.
Ben appreciates the collaborative spirit among instructors at Mathnasium. He enjoys working in an environment where everyone is dedicated to team teaching and helping students gain clarity and confidence in math.

What I love about Mathnasium: I love the atmosphere at Mathnasium making math a fun subject to learn with mastery checks, wheel spins, and prize incentives. It’s a joy to watch the kids being excited to complete their personalized learning plan.

Hobbies and Interests: I love spending time with family and friends, and tend to enjoy long walks or hikes on cloudy days. I also enjoy sports like tennis and ping pong with casual competition against friends. In addition to math, I also really enjoy biology and learning about molecular processes as I aspire to become a physician!
What I love about Mathnasium: Mathnasium has been an unforgettable experience and opportunity for me to meet new people and help students achieve profiency in a subject I hold dear to my heart: mathematics. It has been an incredible medium through which I was able to make a real impact on learners while learning more each day about how I can improve to make the experience more enjoyable for both me and the students. Seeing students smile as they understand a difficult or new concept is incredibly rewarding and inspires me to try my best each day!
