Sam graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University, where he developed a strong appreciation for math and statistical analysis. He later earned an MFA in Theater from Columbia University and has worked as an actor, writer, public servant, and tutor. After opening his first Mathnasium in Los Angeles in 2012, he moved with his family to Georgia and now owns Mathnasium of Decatur and Morningside.
Sam has also served on Mathnasium’s Franchisee Advisory Committee. He’s passionate about helping kids develop number sense while having fun, combining creativity and logic to make math meaningful and accessible.
Estelle joined Mathnasium after two years teaching first grade in Dekalb County. She holds a B.A. in Physics from the University of Chicago and an M.A.T. in Elementary Education from Georgia State University. Her experience includes summer camps, after-school programs, and martial arts instruction.
Though she once considered herself more of a “humanities” person, AP Calculus changed her outlook and sparked a love for math. Estelle is passionate about making math approachable and enjoyable for all students. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, drawing, cycling, and spending time with her two cats and two dogs.
Sky joined Mathnasium in Summer 2025 and is currently studying History Education with a minor in Film Studies at Kennesaw State University. She brings a creative, thoughtful approach to math instruction, helping students feel confident and engaged.
Outside of Mathnasium, Sky is a published writer and has had two student films produced. Her experience in education and storytelling helps her connect with students and make learning math a more personal and meaningful experience.
Elijah has been part of the Mathnasium family nearly his whole life; his mom owns a center in his hometown and officially joined the team two years ago. He’s currently a freshman at Georgia State University majoring in Film & Media. Elijah brings energy, creativity, and a strong understanding of math instruction to every session.
He enjoys making math approachable and fun for students, helping them build confidence. In his free time, he loves making music, hanging out with friends and family, and playing basketball.
Chase has a B.S. in mathematics from Georgia State University. He is from the Atlanta area and loves playing piano!
Kayla is a sophomore Biology major on the pre medical track at Spelman College. She has always loved learning and is passionate about making a positive impact on the youth and community! In her free time, Kayla enjoys exercising, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family.
