Center Update: New Hours and New Rules

We are making some changes to our center that we are excited to share with you. If you have visited us over the last week, you have likely noticed that we spruced up the center configuration a bit. This change and some of the highlights listed below are meant to build a more cohesive learning environment for our students. 

As our new ownership team continues to get to know you and your students we may continue to make updates to the center, so please stay tuned and be sure to follow us on social. For now, here are the key topics you should be aware of. 

1. Students are now welcome to enter the center on their own when they arrive. Upon arrival they will check in at the check in tablet, find their binders, and get to work. We believe that this updated checkin process empowers students to take charge of their own session and discourages learned helplessness. Our policy that students cannot leave the center on their own is unchanged. Students should be accompanied or escorted out of the center.

2. We are so excited about our new spin wheel. Following the completion of Mastery Checks students can now spin our new wheel for a chance to win additional stars on their punch cards. 

3. We will no longer allow food or covered drinks in the center. This is key to help us keep a clean and safe learning environment. Students are also welcome to use one of our water fountains in the center during the sessions. 

4. Student’s personal devices should only be accessible while students are working on homework and should be stored when working on Mathnasium learning plan material. At minimum, half of a session should be spent on Mathnasium materials. 

Finally, we are changing our operating hours beginning on October 14, 2024. Our new hours will be: 

Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 7:30pm

Saturday 11:00am - 3:00pm
