John is a US Navy veteran with a degree in Business Finance from San Francisco State. John's passion is providing a fun learning environment for kids throughout their journey into the math universe. Using the Mathnasium platform he hopes to further connect community leaders, families, and the Mathnasium Team to build a village of success support for the students in the great city of Sacramento. John loves hitting the gym, reading, solving math puzzles, and walking his chunky Pitbull Rza.
My name is Alvaro Benavides, he currently is a Civil Engineering student at Sacramento State University. He is 23, and loves anime and reading comics. In the near future, he would like to focus on transportational engineering as my career choice. He is excited to meet a lot of the student's here at Mathnasium and help students in the way of Math.
David is an instructor at Mathnasium. He grew up in Davis, where he attended Da Vinci Charter Academy. In May of 2024 he graduated with a Bachelors in Mathematics with a minor in English from Reed College in Portland, OR. In his free time he enjoy D&D, watching movies, and reads a lot of books. He is incredibly caring and passionate for the craft of teaching math to students!
Reuben is a freshman at Cosumnes River College, studying Electrical Engineering. He is passionate in teaching kids not only as an instructor, but as a friend to them as well. Being an instructor at Mathnasium, he strives to bring the best out of his students and helping them enjoy math the way he does. Reuben also does lion dance in his free time and has 10+ years of martial arts experience under his belt.
Sheng was born in China and moved to the US at the age of 10. Recently he graduated with a Bachelors in Statistics and a minor in Economics from UC Davis. In his free time he enjoys reading and playing video games with friends. He strives to ensure the students have an enjoyable time here at Mathnasium while helping them maximize their learning.
