Anh Thu Nguyen

Owner
Anh Thu Nguyen is the Owner/Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Greenhaven. She earned her BA in Mathematics at California State University, Sacramento. She is a high school math teacher with Elk Grove Unified School District. She has taught and tutored children of all ages for more than 10 years, and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.

John S.

Regional Director

John is a US Navy veteran with a degree in Business Finance from San Francisco State. John's passion is providing a fun learning environment for kids throughout their journey into the math universe. Using the Mathnasium platform he hopes to further connect  community leaders, families, and the Mathnasium Team to build a village of success support for the students in the great city of Sacramento. John loves hitting the gym, reading, solving math puzzles, and walking his chunky Pitbull Rza.

Audrey N.

Assistant Center Director
Audrey is currently a student at Consumes River Oaks College. She enjoys swimming, reading, and shopping. She has been swimming competitively since 9 years old, competing in high qualifying meets such as Junior Olympics and Far Westerns. Working at Mathnasium, she enjoys being able to positively impact students' lives by helping them through the challenges of math, exceeding their knowledge, and accelerating them through challenging math problems, as well as helping them with their math homework.

Quynh T.

Instructor
Quynh is a college student at Consumnes River College. Though she says she's not good at math, Quynh still challenges herself with high-level math classes at her college. At Mathnasium, Quynh hopes students can have a comfortable environment to enjoy and solve math problems.

Alvaro B.

My name is Alvaro Benavides, he currently is a Civil Engineering student at Sacramento State University. He is 23, and loves anime and reading comics. In the near future, he would like to focus on transportational engineering as my career choice. He is excited to meet a lot of the student's here at Mathnasium and help students in the way of Math.

Ambareesh

Instructor
My name is Ambareesh Lankipalli, and am currently a junior at Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove. Ambareesh founded the non-profit Brighter Futures, which helps underprivileged youth in California. Education has always been something very important in his life, and being an instructor in Mathnasium, he can further his mission to help the youth in California. Outside of school he is the Captain of the Cosumnes Oaks Varsity Tennis Team and is part of CSF, an on-campus tutoring program.

Ninh

Meet Ninh, a passionate college student at Sacramento City College, on her way to an Associates degree for Transfer in Mathematics. With over 5 years of experience as a Mathnasium student in Vietnam, she now returns as an Instructor and spreads her love for math to kids at the Greenhaven branch. At Mathnasium, Ninh aims to create a supportive learning space, fostering young minds to blossom in their mathematical thinking. During free time, she enjoys playing chess, experimenting with different baking recipes and exploring new destinations.

Hello, my name is Matthew Provins and I am an Assistant Center Director here at Mathnasium! Currently, I am studying to become a secondary science teacher through Western Governor's University. I come from a background in business development as well as teaching sales internationally. I am very happy to be bringing my passion for education to our future generations!

Isaiah was introduced to Mathnasium by a friend. He has found his experience to be exciting and eye-opening. He mostly enjoys the colorful environment that's created from the relationships between instructors and students. Teaching students new concepts and seeing the look of realization on their faces is the best part of his day!

Grace is a rising senior at Pleasant Grove High School. She has been competitively swimming for 9 years. She loves hanging out with her friends and making memories with them. Her goal at Mathnasium is to help young students be the best they can be at math!

Pailen L.

Instructor
Pailen is currently a junior in High School. He has always enjoyed math and competes in math competitions for his school. He has experience instructing a wide range of students. He looks forward to helping students improve their math skills and gain a deeper understanding of mathematics.

Ameen S.

Instructor
Ameen has a deep-rooted passion for mathematics and finds joy in helping students understand its beauty. With a flair for making complex concepts accessible, Ameen is committed to creating a love for math in every student. Outside Mathnasium, Ameen leads the Byte Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding education in third-world countries. When not teaching, Ameen enjoys kickboxing, programming, and weightlifting. These hobbies reflect Ameen's diligence to both mental and physical growth, always aspiring for balance and merit.

Abdul N.

Instructor
Abdul is currently a senior at the University of California, Davis, majoring in Computer Science Engineering. He has worked extensively as a teaching assistant and instructor, as well as a software engineering intern for various organizations. Additionally, he has conducted research for NASA at the Ames Research Center. Abdul is extremely passionate about helping the youth and encouraging students to challenge themselves and grow in their academic endeavors.

Natalia L.

Instructor
Natalia is a senior in high school. Math is one of her favorite subjects, though she has certainly has her share of struggles with it. She joined the Mathnasium team for the change to make a difference in someone's academic journey and to spread her love of learning! In her free time she enjoys learning new languages, baking, and spending time with friends.

David C.

Instructor

David is an instructor at Mathnasium. He grew up in Davis, where he attended Da Vinci Charter Academy. In May of 2024 he graduated with a Bachelors in Mathematics with a minor in English from Reed College in Portland, OR. In his free time he enjoy D&D, watching movies, and reads a lot of books. He is incredibly caring and passionate for the craft of teaching math to students!

Reuben C.

Instructor

Reuben is a freshman at Cosumnes River College, studying Electrical Engineering. He is passionate in teaching kids not only as an instructor, but as a friend to them as well. Being an instructor at Mathnasium, he strives to bring the best out  of his students and helping them enjoy math the way he does. Reuben also does lion dance in his free time and has 10+ years of martial arts experience under his belt.

Sheng was born in China and moved to the US at the age of 10. Recently he graduated with a Bachelors in Statistics and a minor in Economics from UC Davis. In his free time he enjoys reading and playing video games with friends. He strives to ensure the students have an enjoyable time here at Mathnasium while helping them maximize their learning.
