Owner and Director
Nick Mele has over 20 years of experience teaching all levels of math at Green Valley High School, from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus BC and IB Math HL. Under his leadership, GVHS was named one of Newsweek’s Top Schools eight times based on AP and IB exam performance.
In addition to his classroom experience, Nick spent more than a decade designing and teaching graduate-level courses in Mathematics Education. Originally from Ohio, he’s a loyal Cleveland sports fan who’s still holding out hope for a championship win.
Ethan Snyder
Assistant Director
Ethan Snyder is passionate about helping students understand and enjoy math. He graduated from Coronado High School in 2012, earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Gonzaga University in 2016, and completed his master’s in Biomedical Engineering at UNLV in 2021.
Ethan finds great fulfillment in inspiring confidence in students through face-to-face instruction in a caring and fun group environment. He believes that with the right guidance, every student can develop strong math skills and a love for learning.

Yes. During each session, our tutors make time to help students with their math homework and reinforce the concepts they’re learning in school. When we are given the opportunity to help with homework, we are better prepared to knit together the concepts we are teaching and those concepts our students may be seeing at school.
No. All of our instruction and practice takes place during sessions in the center. We do not assign extra homework, so students can stay focused and make meaningful progress during their time with us. This allows us to monitor our students' practice and make sure it is perfect!
