Thomas Molyneaux
Lead Instructor
Hello everyone! My name is Thomas Molyneaux, a mathematics and coding enthusiast! I am a graduate of Stamford High School, and it was there were I found my love for math through their math team, and I want to help others experience math in a fun and rewarding way as well. Currently, I will be attending UConn Stamford with the intention of pursuing Software Engineering. I have tutored before in English, mechanics, and science, where I discovered my passion for working with others to improve their academic skills; however, Mathnasium combines my passion for both tutoring and mathematics all in one. I hope to help students become incredible math experts while working with Mathnasium!
Matilda Fu
Lead Instructor
Hi, I'm Matilda, and I use any pronouns. I have a passion for hiking, reading, and math. I majored in philosophy in college, and for the past three summers, I’ve tutored children aged 8-17 in subjects like writing, math, history, and piano. I joined Mathnasium because I truly miss teaching and working with kids. Helping children not only understand but also enjoy math brings me a deep sense of fulfillment. I can relate to the struggles some students face—back in high school, I had a hard time with math myself and didn’t have a tutor. Through trial and error, though, I figured it out and discovered strategies that worked for me. From my teaching experience, I’m confident that with the right approach, any child can master any subject.
Zoe Rieder
Lead Instructor
Hi, my name is Zoe Rieder. Before I was an instructor, I was actually a student here at Mathnasium throughout elementary and middle school. Math was a subject I use to struggle with a lot. I found it hard, often too complicated. These days it's one of my favorite parts of my day, and I want to help students feel the same way! When I'm not doing math, I'm a massive fan of watching sports, movies, and musical theatre. I'm so excited to work here and help students the same way Mathnasium helped me!
Nancy Stone
Instructor
Nancy brings over a decade of teaching experience from a private school in Boston, where she taught Math and Art History to students in grades 3–9. Now in Greenwich to be near her children, Nancy blends her experience as both a parent and educator to support students at Mathnasium.
She loves identifying each student’s unique learning style and creating custom learning plans. Her favorite moments are the “Ah-ha!” breakthroughs—when a concept clicks and students gain new confidence. For Nancy, helping students connect abstract math to real-world ideas is a joy that keeps her inspired every day.

At Mathnasium of Greenwich, we believe the best exam preparation is building deep math understanding and mastery over time.
Students begin their enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills and knowledge gaps. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently, session by session, so students aren't starting from scratch before every test.
Our specially trained tutors work with students across any PreK-12 math class, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing the concepts they're learning in school, filling in foundational gaps, and developing the problem-solving skills that serve them on quizzes, midterms, and final exams alike.
When a major exam is approaching, we can align instruction with the specific topics and concepts it will cover, so students walk in feeling prepared.
Yes! Mathnasium of Greenwich prepares students for the math portions of the Connecticut Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Our tutors align instruction with the Connecticut Core Standards for Mathematics to ensure students have a solid grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on the exam. We identify each student's knowledge gaps through a diagnostic assessment and build a personalized learning plan that targets the skills they need to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
The earlier, the better. Because the Connecticut Smarter Balanced Assessment measures cumulative math understanding built over the school year, students benefit most from consistent, ongoing support rather than last-minute preparation.
Ideally, students should begin working with us at the start of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify and address any knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure students are progressing steadily toward grade-level mastery well before test day.
That said, if your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a meaningful difference. Contact us and we'll create a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes! Mathnasium of Greenwich prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is taking the exam for the first time or looking to improve their score, we tailor preparation to their current skill level and target goals.
We recommend starting at least three to six months before the exam date, and earlier is always better.
College admissions math tests cover a wide range of topics, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Students who begin preparation early have time to identify and close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from sustained practice.
For students with significant gaps in foundational math skills, starting even earlier — in middle school or early high school — gives them the strongest possible foundation heading into test prep.
If your student's test date is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time they have.
Mathnasium of Greenwich offers math test prep as part of a flat monthly membership fee. Pricing depends on your student's individual plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our center directly — we're happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
The number of sessions depends on your student's current skill level, the exam they're preparing for, and how much time is available before test day.
As a general guide, most students preparing for a major exam such as the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend four hours per week over three to six months. For state assessments or classroom exams, the timeline may be shorter, depending on the student's starting point and goals.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of what your student needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
Yes! Students can join live, face-to-face online sessions with our specially trained tutors in Greenwich and follow the same personalized learning plan as they would in the center.
No, both formats provide the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face instruction, and caring guidance from our tutors.
Yes. Our tutors understand the Connecticut Core Standards for Mathematics and the expectations of local schools in Greenwich, Riverside, Cos Cob, and surrounding communities.
