Hello everyone! My name is Thomas Molyneaux, a mathematics and coding enthusiast! I am a graduate of Stamford High School, and it was there were I found my love for math through their math team, and I want to help others experience math in a fun and rewarding way as well. Currently, I will be attending UConn Stamford with the intention of pursuing Software Engineering. I have tutored before in English, mechanics, and science, where I discovered my passion for working with others to improve their academic skills; however, Mathnasium combines my passion for both tutoring and mathematics all in one. I hope to help students become incredible math experts while working with Mathnasium!
Hi, I'm Matilda, and I use any pronouns. I have a passion for hiking, reading, and math. I majored in philosophy in college, and for the past three summers, I’ve tutored children aged 8-17 in subjects like writing, math, history, and piano. I joined Mathnasium because I truly miss teaching and working with kids. Helping children not only understand but also enjoy math brings me a deep sense of fulfillment. I can relate to the struggles some students face—back in high school, I had a hard time with math myself and didn’t have a tutor. Through trial and error, though, I figured it out and discovered strategies that worked for me. From my teaching experience, I’m confident that with the right approach, any child can master any subject.
Hi, my name is Zoe Rieder. Before I was an instructor, I was actually a student here at Mathnasium throughout elementary and middle school. Math was a subject I use to struggle with a lot. I found it hard, often too complicated. These days it's one of my favorite parts of my day, and I want to help students feel the same way! When I'm not doing math, I'm a massive fan of watching sports, movies, and musical theatre. I'm so excited to work here and help students the same way Mathnasium helped me!
Nancy brings over a decade of teaching experience from a private school in Boston, where she taught Math and Art History to students in grades 3–9. Now in Greenwich to be near her children, Nancy blends her experience as both a parent and educator to support students at Mathnasium.
She loves identifying each student’s unique learning style and creating custom learning plans. Her favorite moments are the “Ah-ha!” breakthroughs—when a concept clicks and students gain new confidence. For Nancy, helping students connect abstract math to real-world ideas is a joy that keeps her inspired every day.
Hey, my name is Deron, and I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor's in Computer Science. I have been passionate about math since childhood, when I realized it came more easily to me than the other subjects in school. I hope that my passion for math can be passed along and that I can make the subject more enjoyable as well as approachable for all of those I instruct.
Hi everybody! My name is Henry Rothbard. From a young age, I have always loved math and the sciences. I’ve been especially interested in computer science and engineering, which I will major in at NYU. I’ve spent time tutoring my younger siblings and classmates in math and other subjects, including computer science. Through these experiences, I’ve discovered how much I love to help people understand concepts and ideas. I hope to continue helping students understand math and I am excited to be working at Mathnasium!
Hi, I’m Jonathan Michalske, and I’m a Computer Science student at UConn. One thing I’ve learned throughout my academic journey is that teaching is one of the best ways to deepen understanding, and I love helping students reach that “oh, I get it” moment.
I’ve had the chance to support students across math, engineering, and computer science as the president of the AITE Computer Science Club, and I’ve also taught as an assistant teacher at the Japanese Weekend School of New York. At Mathnasium, I’m excited to keep building students’ skills and confidence by making challenging concepts feel clear, approachable, and achievable.
Hi, I’m Jasper, and I’m a senior at Greenwich High School. This fall, I’ll be studying Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. I started tutoring math at GHS during my junior year, and I loved helping students feel more confident and capable with concepts that once felt difficult.
Outside of Mathnasium, I coach water polo at Rocky Point Club during the summers. I’m especially excited to work at Mathnasium because I was a Mathnasium student myself in elementary school. I experienced the program firsthand, and it made a real difference for me. Now, I’m proud and excited to give that same kind of support to today’s students.
Hi, I’m Kavin, and I’m a senior at AITE High School planning on studying Computer Science + Econ at Yale this fall. I’ve always loved math and participated in math competitions since I was 3. I also really enjoy helping others learn by tutoring and encouraging them in topics they struggle with. Before Mathnasium, I tutored elementary schoolers in languages and programming, which helped me develop as an instructor. My goal is to give everyone the same excitement that I felt growing up whenever I learned a new concept and solved a challenging problem. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places, playing video games, binging, and most of all, being with my friends.
Hi, my name is Mark! I graduated from Iona University with a Bachelor's in Mathematics, and a particular area of interest in Game Theory. I have always found math to be engaging, and I strongly believe that skill in math is a result of practice and patience. It is my hope that I will be able to share my passion for math with students, and help them see how compelling the subject really can be.
Hi everyone! I am Mohit Gupta, a recent graduate from Northeastern University and I am a huge math and programming fan. I worked as a tutor in high school at Kumon, and it was there I really found my love for both math and teaching. After graduating, I ended up becoming a TA for higher math in college as well. My favorite type of math is discrete mathematics because it reminds of little puzzles. Currently I am pursuing my teaching aspirations here at Mathnasium, and I hope to help as many studets as possible during my time here!
Hello! My name is Paul. I've worked with kids since high-school running after-school and camp programs. In college, I managed an after-school program helping with homework and tutoring and encouraging students to pursue higher education. I've also worked with adults tutoring math for graduate entrance exams. I enjoy the experience of helping people grow and improve. Seeing a student finally understand a concept they've been working on is very rewarding. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, playing games of any kind (board, ttrpg, card, or video), going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Hi! My name is Sharon Ye! During my junior year of high school, I was a teaching assistant for a math teacher and helped students while they were working on assignments. I chose to work here at Mathnasium because I want to make math more enjoyable to other students. When I am not doing math, I like playing video games, listening to music, hanging out with my friends, and traveling with my family.
Hi, my name is Simi Arora. I have always loved math, and would love to help other students with it. I aim to show students that although math and problem solving can be challenging at times, it can also be interesting and exciting! Before Mathnasium, I tutored elementary and middle school students in both English and science. Outside of tutoring and academics, I love playing tennis, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.
Hi, I’m Sam, and I’ve found that many students believe math is “too hard” or that they “just can’t do it.” In reality, they often just need the right approach and a little guidance to build confidence.
I’m a mathematics major with a focus in statistics, and I have years of tutoring experience. I’ve seen again and again that math can be fun, engaging, and even beautiful once it clicks. Helping students reach that moment of understanding and realize what they’re capable of is the most rewarding part of teaching for me.
