Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Autumn Leap

Instructor
Autumn is a recent graduate of Yale University, where she majored in Architecture. In addition to her required courses, she dabbled in Classics studies and Evolutionary Biology and led the campus chapter of the Thomistic Institute outside the classroom. Enjoying a new abundance of free time, Autumn has picked up playing beach volleyball, learning German, and experimenting in the kitchen, and now she is beyond enthusiastic to be tutoring again!

Drew Shelton

Assistant Director
Drew is the Assistant Director at the Mathnasium of Guilford. He has a background in Computer Science and Programming, but he always found the most joy in education and enabling others to do their best work. This led him to a role as a curriculum developer for Cyber Security and Development and later into a role as a Cyber Security Consultant. In 2024, he was looking to change direction and gratefully found himself as part of the Mathnasium community. When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter, drawing, painting, or playing board games.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
