Cynthia brings years of experience as a school psychologist, where she specialized in assessing students’ academic skills, including math. A lifelong math enthusiast, she studied mathematics at Loyola University before earning master’s degrees in both School Psychology and Accounting.
As a mother of two, Cynthia stayed active in her community as a school board member, parent council president, and treasurer. Now a Mathnasium Master Certified Center Director, she’s thrilled to help students build confidence and discover the joy of learning math. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and keeping up with Pilates.
Saybil holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Chemical Engineering and has always loved teaching others, especially math. Originally from Turkey, she spent part of her education in Highland Park and is fluent in both English and Turkish.
A former Mathnasium instructor, Saybil now supports the center with her technical and online expertise. When she’s not working, she enjoys swimming, spending time with her two sons, and watching Marvel movies with her family.
After a 30-year career as a Radiologist, Merrick joined Mathnasium to continue sharing his passion for teaching. His background in medicine gives him a deep appreciation for the role math plays in everyday problem-solving and scientific discovery.
Known for his sense of humor and fun approach to learning, Merrick makes math enjoyable for his students. In his spare time, he likes biking, watching comedies, and playing the violin.
Jeff has worked as an investment advisor for more than 30 years and holds degrees in Economics and Business Administration. A lifelong math enthusiast, he’s been an instructor at Mathnasium for several years and also volunteers with local math programs.
When he’s not teaching, Jeff enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and competing in fantasy football leagues. He lives in the area with his two grown daughters and loves helping students develop confidence and curiosity in math.
