She has loved math ever since her grandmother would wake her up early on Saturday mornings to solve problems 2 grade levels above her own. She is highly involved in her school community through activities like Sound and Lights Crew, Mini-THON, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, and more. Shae also acts as a writing tutor in her school's Writing Center and as a math, science, and history tutor at South's Mentor Center. In the summer, she spends her time as a camp counselor for kids aged 4-6. When she isn't at school or working, Shae enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with her friends.
