Ron's path to Mathnasium wasn't a straight line. With a background spanning engineering, management, and building small businesses, he brings a builder's mindset to everything he does — but his real connection to Mathnasium goes back to his own school days, when math didn't come easily to him at all. It wasn't until later that he learned to truly love it: the problem-solving, the "aha" moments, the confidence that comes from finally getting it. That journey is what drives him today, helping kids build the same skills and confidence much earlier than he did.
Ron is a father of two young kids himself, and some of his favorite moments are watching his own children wrestle with a hard problem — in math and in life — and come out the other side a little stronger. That's the same experience he wants for every student who walks through the doors of Mathnasium of Inglewood: not just better grades, but a lasting belief that they can figure things out.
Yin’s path to Mathnasium started long before she considered opening a learning center. As a pharmacist, she built a career grounded in precision, care, and helping others—qualities she now brings to Mathnasium of Inglewood.
Her love for math began in college, when she discovered how much she enjoyed tutoring. She especially loved seeing the moment when a student finally understood a challenging concept and gained confidence. That experience inspired her to create the same positive and encouraging environment for students at Mathnasium.
Yin is passionate about helping children build not only strong math skills, but also the confidence to believe in themselves. She believes every child can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and approach.
Outside of Mathnasium, Yin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. They love traveling together, exploring new places, trying new foods, creating meaningful family memories and exploring the world with them.
Yin looks forward to getting to know the families in the Inglewood community and being part of each student’s math journey.
