How We Prepare Students for Standardized Tests

Feb 19, 2020 | Kendall

Mathnasium is a math learning center that students attend to improve their math skills. As testing season approaches, Mathnasium can help your student prepare for upcoming end-of-year tests.

Florida public school students in grades 3-8 will take a Mathematics FSA (Florida Standards Assessments). Students who take Algebra or Geometry will take the EOC (End-of-Course Exam) for their corresponding subject.

In our center we will focus on the key concepts and benchmarks that will be evaluated on these exams. We want our students to be able to explain and understand what they are learning rather than just memorizing a series of steps.

To achieve the best results, we start preparing early and help students become familiar with their exam through practice problems. Most importantly, we focus on direct instruction and targeted curriculum for each of our students. The Mathnasium Method helps to relieve testing anxiety as well as give our students different testing strategies and tips to ensure their success.

Along with standardized tests, Mathnasium can prepare students for admission tests such as the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) and SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). We also prepare students for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT
