Nigam and Shilpa Mehta are the owners of Mathnasium of Kendall Park and share a deep passion for math education. Nigam holds a master’s degree in Computer Science with over 18 years of experience in the high-tech industry, while Shilpa brings more than 17 years of expertise in corporate finance and accounting.
As parents of two sons, they understand the challenges students face and the importance of a strong mathematical foundation. The Mehtas are committed to helping children build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and succeed academically while making a positive impact in their local community.
Cherylann Vanderhide is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Kendall Park, where she is dedicated to helping students build confidence and success in math. With over 20 years of experience in the EdTech and the Certification space, Cherylann brings deep expertise in educational content, assessment, and learning design.
Passionate about making learning fun and engaging, Cherylann truly believes in Mathnasium’s proven methodology and its ability to meet students where they are. Through strong leadership and thoughtful center management, she is committed to ensuring every student receives a personalized learning experience that supports their growth and long-term success.
Cherylann holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is also a certified Psychometric Test Professional, Learning & Development Manager and a Master Trainer & Facilitator.
Dylan is passionate math and enjoys the problem-solving aspect of mathematics and how it often feels like putting together a puzzle. He loves exploring different approaches to a problem.
Dylan brings several years of tutoring experience to his role. He previously worked as a Mathematics and Computer Science Tutor , where he assisted students with subjects including Algebra, Calculus I–III, Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures, and Foundations of Computer Science. With a strong background in both mathematics and programming, he understands how coding and mathematics are closely connected, and enjoys helping students see how logical thinking and problem-solving apply across both fields.
Dylan earned his Associate of Science in Mathematics from Raritan Valley Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Cognitive Science at Rutgers University.
Anand finds joy in watching students get questions right and gain confidence in their abilities. He is passionate about helping children reach their math goals step by step.
Anand has been playing soccer for over 13 years, Through years of team sports and leadership as a varsity soccer player and travel team captain, he has developed strong patience, communication skills, and the ability to motivate younger students. He has also coached recreational soccer and volunteered in youth programs and community service activities.
Anand is a senior at South Brunswick High School with a National Honor Society recognition. He is currently enrolled in advanced coursework including AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Literature, AP Psychology, and AP Macroeconomics.
Shravya loves math for its creativity and problem-solving, she sees every question as a puzzle with multiple paths to success. As a tutor, she enjoys helping students feel confident and capable in math.
Shravya is actively involved in several academic and service organizations, including HOSA, Science League, Biomedical Futures, and DECA, and volunteers with the Princeton Arts Council. As a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster, she also enjoys her experience working with children and teaching them new skills.
Shravya is a junior at South Brunswick High School, She is currently pursuing advanced math coursework, including Honors Algebra II, Honors Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB.
Radha loves math for its logic and structure. She is inspired to teach because her own teachers made a lasting difference in her life, and she hopes to do the same for her students.
Along with Math and other academic interests, Radha is also passionate about culturally rich classical dance forms, through which she expresses creativity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for tradition and heritage.

Kasope enjoys the feeling of overcoming challenging math problems and brings that same determination into every session. He enjoys helping students excel in their areas of math and celebrates each breakthrough along the way.
Kasope has served as trumpet section leader for the South Brunswick Marching and Jazz Bands, guiding practices and helping teammates improve their performance. Kasope competed on the varsity track & field team and travel soccer team, and volunteers with Buddy Ball, teaching soccer to children with special needs. His patience, encouragement, and clear explanations help students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to succeed.
Kasope is a senior at South Brunswick High School and a member of the National Honor Society. He has completed rigorous AP coursework including AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, and AP Environmental Science.
Adwita appreciates how math connects to so many different fields of work and enjoys helping students understand challenging concepts with clarity and confidence.
She has a strong background in standard K–8 math as well as Vedic Math techniques, and she focuses on individualized instruction so each student can learn in a way that works best for them. Adwita has also worked with diverse learners, including neurodivergent students. She has additional teaching experience as a teacher’s assistant at an Autism Foundation, where her focus has been math skills for young students with learning difficulties. She also served as a Vedic Math teacher’s assistant helping students explore their potential with math.
Adwita is currently a senior at Central Jersey College Prep Charter School in Somerset, NJ, with an outstanding academic record and advanced coursework including AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and college-level calculus classes.
Venkat enjoys math because of the many different approaches that can be used to solve a problem. He appreciates how math encourages logical thinking and creative problem-solving, and he enjoys helping students discover strategies that make challenging concepts easier to understand.
Venkat has experience working with students through tutoring and volunteer work. As a Teacher Volunteer he helped teach underprivileged students basic arithmetic and English at the local public library and created study plans tailored to each student’s learning needs. He has experience teaching students how to build apps and has completed courses in Python (University of Michigan – Coursera) and C/C++ through Storming Robots, further strengthening his analytical and problem-solving skills.
