Let's Talk About Homework Help

Aug 26, 2024 | Lake Brantley

It's back-to-school season, and homework is on everybody's mind! It's this time of year our parents are likely to ask us if we will spend the entire Mathnasium hour on a child's homework or test prep.

While we set aside time each session to help with tough homework problems and test prep, we are not a homework-only learning center, and here is why:

Mathnasium doesn't focus solely on homework because its primary goal is to address the underlying knowledge gaps that cause ongoing math difficulties. While we do provide some support with homework, our emphasis is on building a strong math foundation to ensure long-term success. Simply helping with homework might solve immediate problems but won't address the deeper issues that lead to struggles in math. By identifying and filling these gaps, Mathnasium aims to create a lasting improvement in students' math skills, which is more beneficial than just short-term homework help.
