Rutu has been part of Mathnasium for over five years and now serves as the Center Director at Mathnasium of Lake Brantley. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and previously worked as a lecturer in Quantitative Biology at the University of Central Florida.
Raised in nearby Lake Mary, Rutu is passionate about giving back to her community. She enjoys building meaningful connections with students, inspiring their love for math, and watching them grow in both skills and confidence.
With more than a decade in education, Lynn is dedicated to helping students build confidence through learning. She taught for Seminole County Public Schools for seven years, earning Teacher of the Year in 2013 before opening her first Mathnasium center in Lake Mary.
In 2020, she opened Mathnasium of Lake Brantley to further support her community. Lynn is passionate about giving students the tools to conquer math, advocate for their own skills, and truly make math make sense.
Linda brings experience from higher education, where she served as an Associate Dean at Averett University and as a Career College President. She holds a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and an MBA from Averett University.
Originally from Huntington, WV, Linda now lives in Apopka with her husband and their boxer, Honey. She enjoys watching students grow in confidence, designing fun prize cabinets, and fostering community connections to create an encouraging learning environment.
Meet one of our passionate coaches! Currently studying Electrical Engineering, he brings a love for problem-solving and abstract thinking to every session at Mathnasium. Algebra is his favorite subject to teach because of the creativity and logic involved, and his favorite number is π — a perfect match for someone who also loves circles!
When he’s not helping students build confidence in math, you can usually find him exercising, playing Minecraft, or diving into math and physics concepts just for fun. A huge Star Wars fan with a serious sweet tooth, he hopes to one day become an engineer. He says working at Mathnasium has helped him grow valuable communication and teamwork skills while supporting his college goals.
If he could have dinner with any mathematician, he’d choose Leonhard Euler, who he considers the greatest mathematician of all time.
Meet Melanie! With a passion for science and a love of helping students learn, she brings positive energy and encouragement to every session. Her favorite math subject to teach is Algebra because solving equations feels like putting together a puzzle — and she loves helping students discover how rewarding math can be.
Her favorite number is 14 because it’s her lucky number, and her favorite shape is the hexagon simply because it’s fun to say! Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys drawing, gaming, and baking, and students are always excited to learn that she has four cats at home.
Working at Mathnasium has helped her build strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills while she works toward graduating college and finding a career she truly loves. Her favorite part of the job is seeing students grow more confident in their math abilities and realize they are capable of success.
If she could have dinner with any mathematician, she’d choose Albert Einstein because she would love to hear how he approached solving problems. And if you ever want to know her favorite snack? Sour gummy worms are always the answer!
Meet Parisa! Currently in her senior year studying Emerging Media Management, she loves combining creativity, communication, and education in ways that help others learn and grow. With an AA degree already completed, she brings enthusiasm and positivity to every Mathnasium session.
Her favorite part about working at Mathnasium is building connections with students and creating a fun, friendly learning environment where kids feel supported and encouraged. She especially enjoys seeing how exciting math can become when students gain confidence and have fun while learning.
Her favorite number is 29 because she was born on March 29th, and her favorite shape is the pentagon because you can draw a star inside it — which she thinks makes it extra special! Outside of the center, she enjoys playing tennis and performing Persian traditional instruments.
Students may also be surprised to learn that she still loves watching Disney movies, and her favorite princess is Cinderella! If she could have dinner with any mathematician, she would choose Maryam Mirzakhani because she admires her incredible accomplishments, perseverance, and the impact she made as the first woman to win the Fields Medal.
And when it comes to snacks, crunchy Cheetos and cheese straws are always top choices!
Meet Ryan! A senior at the University of Central Florida studying Integrated General Studies, he loves helping students discover that math is more than numbers — it’s a way of thinking and problem-solving that can tell incredible stories.
His favorite subject to teach is Algebra because every problem feels like a puzzle with multiple steps leading to a satisfying solution. He also enjoys showing students how math connects to the real world and helping them build confidence along the way.
When it comes to favorite numbers and shapes, he’s a big fan of hexagons because of the cool patterns they create when tiled together. His favorite number is 9 — mostly because his true favorite number is 3, and 9 is just 3 three times!
Long term, he hopes to work in the film or gaming industry creating stories and experiences for others to enjoy. He believes Mathnasium supports that dream because numbers are excellent at telling stories, and every day he gets to hear great stories from students while helping them grow.
Outside of Mathnasium, he enjoys playing Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and watching his favorite show, Survivor. If he could have dinner with any mathematician, he would choose Archimedes because of his groundbreaking discoveries and inventions.
And if you ever want to know his favorite snack? Peanut butter pretzels are always a win!
