Robert joined Mathnasium as an instructor in 2021 and is currently studying Secondary Mathematics Education. He loves teaching math because it provides an opportunity to prove that anyone can excel in the subject with the right guidance. Robert is passionate about dismantling the idea that math is only for the 'naturally smart,' focusing instead on growth and understanding.
When he isn't working with students, you can find him relaxing with a cup of tea or coffee or sharpening their skills over a chess board.
Garrett graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a General Mathematics degree and a secondary teaching certificate. His academic background includes Calculus, Number Theory, and Physics.
Garrett enjoys the challenge of understanding each student's unique thought process when teaching to them. He also strives to make sure each student comes out of Mathnasium with a better grasp of math and learning, so they can step into the world with their best foot forward.
Jodi holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Math from Hope College along with her secondary teaching certificate. She also earned a master’s degree in Math Education and a specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. With 20 years of classroom experience, she has taught everything from eighth grade math through IB Math Studies and is also a certified gifted instructor.
Jodi loves teaching because of the excitement students feel when a difficult concept finally makes sense. She believes that with the right tools and encouragement, every learner can succeed and build confidence in math.
Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Mathematics Education and Psychology. Her academic background includes College Algebra through Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics. She joined Mathnasium in 2011 and has since gained extensive experience mentoring instructors and supporting students of all levels.
She believes math should be challenging but never intimidating and works to make it both enjoyable and rewarding. Lauren is passionate about helping students build lasting confidence and inspiring them to develop a genuine love of mathematics.
