Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

James Sullivan

Director of Center Operations

James oversees operations across multiple Mathnasium centers and leads the instructional staff for Mathnasium @Home. With an educational background that includes pre-med and engineering studies, he’s always been fascinated by how math explains the world around us, from technology to natural forces.

He finds it deeply rewarding to see students grow in confidence as they develop an appreciation for math. James believes that math is a universal key to solving the challenges of tomorrow.

Barry & Kathryn Fausnaugh

Owners

Barry and Kathryn Fausnaugh have owned and operated successful Mathnasium Centers since 2012 and are dedicated to helping students truly understand math. Barry holds a B.S. in Information Systems Management from UMUC, while Kathryn earned her B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech and was a licensed CPA (inactive).

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
