Jadelyn San Juan

General Manager
Jadelyn graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Cruz. From an early age she has been interested in science and mathematics. Mastery of foundations gave her the confidence to visualize abstract and difficult concepts. Jadelyn's interest in math comes from the perpetual cycle of knowledge, confidence, application, and retention. As a student, Jadelyn found problem solving to be an enjoyable challenge. Throughout her experience as a Mathnasium instructor, she helps students discover their potential in understanding difficult math concepts. For her, teaching math to struggling students is a welcomed challenge and a rewarding experience. She hopes to inspire and motivate, and create successful students.

Yuta Ebikawa

Lead Instructor
Yuta is a San Mateo County native. He attended UCLA, where he majored in neuroscience and minored in mathematics. Yuta has been with the Laurelwood team since April 2014. He has completed two graduate programs: school psychology (MAE) and educational psychology (PsyD). He now aspires to become a professional school counselor and is undergoing associated graduate training. Yuta believes in the unlimited potential of children and envisions Mathnasium students to become indispensable leaders in the future.

Victoria Lafrance

Lead Instructor
Victoria originally attended Mathnasium as a student because she struggled to grasp mathematical concepts through the methods taught in school. Like many other students attending Mathnasium, Victoria learned about the Mathnasium Method through all the strategies it encompassed and through this was able to push ahead in school and enjoy math. Victoria was inspired to pass on what she learned through the curriculum and the amazing instructors to future Mathnasium students by becoming an instructor. She is passionate about making math fun and works towards creating a learning experience that is more engaging and exciting than that of a regular school classroom.

Bryan Vo

Administrative Assistant
Bryan studied Economics at the University of Southern California, but his secret is that his real passion lies in education and analyzing literature. He loves his Mathnasium coworkers and enjoys supporting the moderators in both classrooms. His favorite part of the job is finding the gap in a student’s knowledge and using his skills on the job to fill in that gap. “There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a passing score on a student’s assessment”, he thinks, in a recent moment of introspection. He believes that it is not about what concepts a student gets wrong on a test, it’s about why and how they got it wrong.

Brooks Franklin

Administrative Assistant
Brooks grew up in La Quinta, California and has previously worked in retail stores and in computer / electronic repair. He joined the Foster City Mathnasium team in early 2018. Starting to work as an instructor, he could very quickly see the impact that Mathnasium had on its students. Towards the end of 2019 he was promoted to an administrative role and with that new perspective he continued to see the benefits of the Mathnasium program. In addition to this, his new role had allowed multiple opportunities for him to learn new skills and gain experience working with new projects. His favorite parts of the job are organizing data collected from student sessions and creating and optimizing processes to make everyone’s job easier and / or more efficient.
