It's back to school: Make this school year GREATER THAN last year!

Jun 6, 2020 | League City

Summer has flown by and Back to School season is here! This is a great time for new beginnings on the academic front to make this school year GREATER THAN last year! So let’s get organized and set priorities. Here is our Back to School checklist to get started.

  • Buy school supplies for the new school year. Back to School sales offer many opportunities to show your child how math comes in handy in the real world while picking up some much-needed items. Sit with your child to write a shopping list and plan out a budget, hit the sales, and work with your child to calculate discounts!

  • Finish summer reading assignments. Solid reading comprehension skills are critical to success in all subjects. (Word problems, anyone?)

  • Enroll your student at Mathnasium to stay on track in math and make this school year GREATER THAN last year! We’ll pinpoint your child’s learning needs and create a personalized program designed to meet them where they are and take them where they need to go. We know how to teach your child math in a fun and supportive environment that instills confidence and a positive attitude about the subject. With hard work and diligence, homework frustration may likely become a thing of the past.

  • Print out your activity/class schedule. Then, sit with your child and talk about extracurricular activities that are on the table for this semester so you can plan a regular weekly schedule together. Put it on paper and make it official. We’ve created a handy schedule planner for you to print out—fill in your child’s class schedule, after-school activities, and two weekly Mathnasium sessions, and stick it on your bulletin board or fridge for easy reference.

We wish all of you a happy and productive start to the 2020-2021 school year and look forward to helping your family start the school year with confidence and a can-do attitude!

It's that simple, all it takes to make this year GREATER THAN last year is the right list to keep organized.
