Center CLOSED for In-Person Instruction effective from 03/25 until further notice

Mar 25, 2020 | Leander
Dear Mathnasium Parent,

Effective from 03/25, Mathnasium of Leander Center will be closed for in-person instruction until further notice. Williamson County orders shelter in place for coronavirus, and the safest way for us to abide by this regulation is to close in-person instruction for the time being.

We have been training our instructorsMathnasium@home Program and are busy setting up infrastructure for Mathnasium@home Program. Under development with thousands of students over 3 years, this new platform brings the same Mathnasium Method from our centers/instructors to students at home through an internet-connected computer.

You can learn more at mathnasium.com/at-home/leander

You can request for sessions for Mathnasium@home Program effective from 03/30 between the hours of 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, we will be sending out a detailed email on how to access the platform. While we are setting up infrastgructure and train our instrctors, here's a few things to prepare:

  1. You will need a computer/Chromebook (not an iPad). The connection will work on Wi-Fi but will work better if hardwired into the router
  2. Please set your student up at a desk with scrap paper - it's much more productive than on a couch/bed.
  3. Headphones also help the student stay as engaged as possible.
  4. Please be on time for your session! In order to allow for a smooth transition, each session will be between 50 and 55 minutes.
  5. If you or your student has a Gmail account, that's the best way to login to the platform.
  6. Siblings will need their own computer and personal space to maximize their time

We are very excited to transition to this new platform, and we hope to have a smooth transition to this new platform. In the meantime, students who miss any regularly scheduled sessions can make those sessions up either via the @Home platform or in-person lessons once it is safe to resume them.

We will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely to evaluate when the center will be able to re-open.

Rest assured that we will continue to provide you with regular updates via email as this situation evolves. Please reach out to out to us by email: [email protected] at any time if you have any any questions that we can address.

Sincerely,

Mathnasium at Leander Center Team
