1. What is the most common thing you see in new students coming to Mathnasium for the first time?

A: They lack confidence even when they know the answer. They're afraid to be wrong, especially when they can't explain their thought process.

2. If there was one thing you could tell parents before they bring their student to Mathnasium what would it be?

A: Trust the process! Mathnasium's methods work and can be personalized for every student.

3. What things do the most successful students have in common?

A: Consistency! They come at least 2-3 times each week and bring their questions from school. They built their confidence and have the perseverance to work through difficult problems. They trust that the Instructors will help them and answer their questions in a way they understand.

4. What are some of the ways you teach math to your students?

A: Make it relatable. Many students struggle with taking half of 5. Once I rephrase it as "We have 5 cookies to share between us. How many cookies will we each get so that it's fair?" it clicks for them!

5. What do you think is the coolest thing about Mathnasium?

A: The relationship that grows between each student and the Instructors.
