Christian brings 17 years of experience in math and business education. He began his journey as a Mathnasium instructor in 2008 while studying at UC Berkeley, graduating with honors in applied mathematics and economics. He earned his Ph.D. from UCLA as a National Science Foundation Fellow.
Passionate about helping every child build confidence and a love for math, Christian lights up when students experience an “aha!” moment. He lives with his wife and their two young daughters, ages one and three.
Arlene is a proud full-time mom to two wonderful girls. With over 12 years of experience at multinational companies L’Oreal and Mondelez International, she successfully launched over 100 campaigns across Southeast Asia. She was also recognized at Mondelez for fostering a positive workplace culture.
At Mathnasium, Arlene blends her professional expertise with her personal experiences to build strong partnerships with parents, instructors, and the community. She’s committed to supporting kids on their unique math journeys.
Originally from Garwood, New Jersey, Marshall served in the United States Marine Corps from 2013 to 2018. After his service, he pursued a degree in math education, completing five semesters between 2018 and 2020, and is now studying finance at The Ohio State University.
Marshall’s diverse background and dedication to learning make him a valuable leader in the center. He brings a strong work ethic, discipline, and enthusiasm for helping students succeed.
Mike holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in History from Michigan State University, with a minor in math. After earning his teaching certification, he taught high school math in Michigan and Illinois before joining Mathnasium six years ago.
He enjoys reading science fiction and watching sci-fi and classic films. His favorite number is 0 “because it’s such a troublemaker!” and as a child, he witnessed the historic Apollo 8 launch.
Jane brings 38 years of experience as a math teacher and guidance counselor, with a special love for working with upper elementary and middle school students. She finds joy in witnessing their “aha” moments when true understanding clicks.
Outside of Mathnasium, Jane sings in a choir, solves puzzles, and works part-time as a caregiver. She sees math as “God’s universal language” and is passionate about helping students grow both academically and as good citizens.
