National Math Scores - The New Pandemic

Jun 22, 2023 | Lincolnwood

No news is good news, and that is proving true once again.

As the Associated Press announced, "Math and reading scores for American 13-year-olds plunge to lowest levels in decades."

As the New York Times puts it, "Math Scores Fell in Nearly Every State." Only 36% of fourth graders nationally are at a proficient level, and that number drops to a mere 26% for students graduating eighth grade!

Unfortunately, under-education is the real pandemic we are facing.

Fortunately, there is something you can do about it, and it doesn't require masking or social distance. Learn more math!

Mathnasium students buck the trend. We partner with parents and teachers and communicate with them about the skills their children are learning, and which skills they have mastered. We target the needs of each child with a customized approach, allowing us to support students whether they need remediation, enrichment, or just maintenance.

The results, measurable success that counter the national trend.
