Assistant Center Director, Serena Stout, prioritizes helping kids build their confidence by building math skills that will last for life.

Kirsten Lotz

Learning Plan Manager
Kirsten received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Purdue University. She has been helping people with math since childhood starting with guiding one sister through many math homework frustrations and entertaining both sisters with ad-lib stories about "The Adventures of Super Mathematician!" After college, she and her husband worked as programmers at IBM until she became a full-time mom of two boys. Both sons got the math gene, which has led to many nerdy dinner conversations including the ones they now share with their wives. She has spent many volunteer hours at church and at her sons' school where she also did some substitute teaching. Her favorite part of the day was always math time!

Alexa Camilli

Alexa received her Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, with a Minor in Mathematics. While teaching at Mathnasium of Longmont, Alexa continued to teach 7th grade math in Adams 12. She has nearly 10 years of experience working in a handful of Mathnasiums from Florida to Colorado. In fact, it was being introduced to the Mathnasium Method that inspired her to become an educator in the first place! Math has always been Alexa's favorite subject, and for her, it has always been fun. Her goal now is to destroy the misconception that some kids just aren't good at math. She sponsors Rubiks Cube clubs, attends Mathlete competitions with her students, and creates fun math activities for her lessons, all in hopes of showing kids that math is everywhere, math is cool, and math is FUN!

It's too hard for Lor to choose just one number to love so she said "I have always loved the numbers 13 and 42." She also loves being able to help students understand math because that helps them like the subject more. Math has always been her favorite subject. She enjoys helping students but also learning new things while instructing at Mathnasium.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
