Hello! My name is Laura Topper and I am the Center Director at Mathnasium of Longmont. I am a licensed teacher and spent many years specializing in math intervention at the elementary school level. I am so excited to help build a successful future for your child here at our center!
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, puzzles, games, reading, and spending time with my two elementary-aged children.
Zach is a Computer Science graduate from Eastern Illinois University and a former Mathnasium instructor in Illinois. He enjoys helping students experience the “aha” moment when math makes sense.
His hobbies include programming, astronomy, playing guitar, and video games. Zach brings both technical skills and a warm teaching style to every session, making learning math exciting and accessible.
Greg received a B.S. in Applied Physics from Cal State University San Marcos. In his time off, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and spending time outside. He enjoys teaching because he likes helping students find the joy and empowerment in understanding math!
Maia is a psychology major at University of Denver, and enjoys gardening, crocheting, and painting. Her favorite number is 56, and her favorite thing about teaching is helping students figure out what strategies or tools to use to optimize their individual learning!
Tanvi is a senior at Fairview High School, and enjoys baking, singing, and playing tennis. Her favorite number is 16, and she enjoys teaching because she loves to see students gain confidence in themselves over time!
Ayden is a student at CU Boulder studying Applied Math. In his time off, he enjoys playing video games. His favorite number is 'e' because of all its properties in calculus. He enjoys teaching because he wants everyone to be able to experience the beauty of math!
Aaron holds a B.S. in Computer Science from CU Boulder, and enjoys video games, board games, and walking his dog. His favorite number is 14, and he enjoys teaching because he loves the lightbulb moment that occurs when a student is struggling with a topic, and then it suddenly clicks!
Avery is a prelaw student at CU Boulder studying history and art. She enjoys listening to music, reading, and drawing, and her favorite number is 1. Avery's favorite part about teaching is making connections with students and getting to see them gain confidence in math!
Jenny is a student at CU Boulder, and in her free time she enjoys playing chess and reading. Her favorite number is the square root of -1. Her favorite parts of teaching are getting to see the moment that a student "gets" a concept, and sharing her love of math!
Troy has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and in his free time he enjoys playing tabletop games, listening to live music, and watching Anime. His favorite number is the square root of pi, because it comes up in some interesting integrals. He enjoys teaching because he likes watching students light up as they make a connection or solve a challenging problem!
