Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Alexa Camilli

Owner / Instructor
Alexa received her Bachelor's degree in Multimedia, with a Minor in Mathematics. While owning Mathnasium of Longmont, Alexa continues to teach 7th grade math in Adams 12. She has nearly 10 years of experience working in a handful of Mathnasiums from Florida to Colorado. In fact, it was being introduced to the Mathnasium Method that inspired her to become an educator in the first place! Math has always been Alexa's favorite subject, and for her, it has always been fun. Her goal now is to destroy the misconception that some kids just aren't good at math. She sponsors Rubiks Cube clubs, attends Mathlete competitions with her students, and creates fun math activities for her lessons, all in hopes of showing kids that math is everywhere, math is cool, and math is FUN!

Kelsey Sullivan

Assistant Center Director
Kelsey earned her Bachelor's degree from Missouri State University in Geography, and is very committed to education. She is continuing her studies in Geospatial Science at Front Range Community College, focusing on her personal and professional growth. At Mathnasium, Kelsey does it all. You can expect to meet her during your risk-free assessment, and hear from her regularly throughout your membership!

Kirsten Lotz

Learning Plan Manager
Kirsten received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Purdue University. She has been helping people with math since childhood starting with guiding one sister through many math homework frustrations and entertaining both sisters with ad-lib stories about "The Adventures of Super Mathematician!" After college, she and her husband worked as programmers at IBM until she became a full-time mom of two boys. Both sons got the math gene, which has led to many nerdy dinner conversations including the ones they now share with their wives. She has spent many volunteer hours at church and at her sons' school where she also did some substitute teaching. Her favorite part of the day was always math time!

Jack B.

Jack received his Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in mathematics at Louisiana Tech University. He moved to Colorado two years ago because he loves the mountains and backpacking. Math and science teaching run in his family, so working as an instructor at Mathnasium was an obvious choice. Jack describes himself as a free spirit, who is eager to learn about anything and everything from math and science to history to cooking to gardening. He also loves road trips, and has driven through fifteen states and counting. Jack believes that reading and math skills are two of the most important and useful skills a child can learn, and he wants to show kids that both can be fun!

Kaushik C.

Kaushik is a senior at Niwot High School. For as long as he can remember, he’s been surrounded by math, and once he started solving equations, he knew it was the right fit for him, and he now wants to pursue a career in engineering! From solving puzzles to helping his friends with math problems, he loves being able to apply his math knowledge to his everyday life, and he is excited to share his passion for math with every student! Outside of math, he loves to hang out with friends, play video games, and watch sports (especially basketball and tennis)!! Math can open the doors to an infinite amount of possibilities, and while many may not consider themselves a “math person,” Kaushik is determined to change their mind and show them how fun math can be!

LiChen L.

LiChen is also a senior at Niwot High School. He likes math a lot. In the near future, LiChen plans to study aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. LiChen chose to work at Mathnasium because he wants to motivate others to become more involved with math; he believes that it is a useful tool that can be applied to several aspects of everyday life. Outside of school and math, LiChen enjoys music, watching sports, and playing video games (he is ranked “Ultimate Champion” in Clash Royale). His favorite celebrities are LeBron James, Kirk Cousins, and Laufey. Their respective successes inspire LiChen to pursue his passion in mathematics and use it to create his own story!

Isaac E.

Isaac is a junior at APEX, and has a fascination with all things related to mathematics. He especially enjoys algebra, trigonometry, and physics. Math, aside from being fun, is also useful and very applicable to everyday life. It is something everyone will benefit from, and Isaac is determined to help people see that. Aside from math, Isaac also has a passion for martial arts. He has been doing Taekwondo for over ten years. He currently attends Ripple Effect Martial Arts in Longmont. Isaac also enjoys solving Rubik’s Cubes and playing Magic the Gathering. From teaching his friends how to play Magic the Gathering to helping his sister with her math homework, he is constantly and patiently helping others.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
