Jim and Colleen are local parents with three children who grew up in the Lorton community. Their kids attended William Halley Elementary, South County Middle, and South County High Schools. Their children have since graduated from universities including Bowling Green, James Madison, and Christopher Newport, and have active, successful careers. With over 29 years of experience in engineering and management, Jim earned his BSEE from Virginia Tech.
Colleen has been active in the local school community for many years as a volunteer and parent. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, and worked as a human resources specialist before choosing to stay home to raise her family.
She is passionate about helping all students find success in math—whether they need to get back on track, strengthen current skills, or take on new challenges. At Mathnasium, Colleen is dedicated to building confidence and encouraging every student to reach their full potential.
