Josh Grant

My name is Josh. I live in Warner Robins and I am Center Director of the Mathnasium of Warner Robins. I look forward to spending more time at the Macon location as well. I have been a part of Mathnasium for many years and have helped hundreds and hundreds of students become stronger math thinkers. At Mathnasium, we find that students do not hate math (like they think they do). They do hate being embarrassed and frustrated by math. We can help change that! Our ultimate goal is to help make your son or daughter a stronger math thinker. I can't wait to partner with you & help make that happen. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Jeff Rucker

Jeff & his wife Christine own Mathnasium of Macon and Mathnasium of Warner Robins. And, also own the Mathnasiums in the Augusta, GA market. Jeff was the Chief Meteorologist at the NBC affiliate in Augusta, for 12 years, before opening the first Mathnasium (in 2011). His decision to open Mathnasium was a logical follow-on to all his previous work as a Navy and broadcast meteorologist. Jeff often jokes that meteorology is 70% math, 20% science and 10% art. “I think I took more math classes in college and grad school than I did weather classes.” Since beginning his broadcast meteorology career back in 1996, Jeff has made school visits and weather education outreach a top priority. From pre-K to high school, Jeff has spoken to hundreds of classrooms all over the Augusta area. Jeff has helped hundreds and hundreds of students not only become stronger math thinkers but also become more confident students. He is excited to meet the needs of the Macon students & their families.

Christine Rucker

Christine, Jeff's wife, is his biggest cheerleader and is so excited to be involved with Mathnasium in the Macon area! She is the behind-the-scenes staple that keeps it all together. Christine holds a B.S. in Communications from Old Dominion University. She has worked as a news producer at NBC and CBS in Norfolk VA and at the NBC affiliate in Augusta, GA. Her experience line producing local news helps her juggle all the ins and outs of the Centers. Christine and Jeff have two college "kids" and know how to make kids feel comfortable, encouraged and welcomed! She's excited about seeing you at the center very soon.

Viviana

Hello! My name is Viviana. I’m a retired civil engineer and math is my best and preferred subject. I have taken advantage of its real-life endless applications. Helping children reach their full potential in math is for me a rewarding experience. In my free time you can find me reading a good book, working on my garden or enjoying nature. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet you and assist your children to build confidence and proficiency in their math thinking.

Nate

Hello! It's nice to meet you, I’m Nate! I am a Media and Entertainment major at Kennesaw State University. Although I love music and entertainment, math has always been my first love, as I have been doing math problems since I was a toddler. Working with kids is also something that I love doing as I have been volunteering in my church’s youth ministry for over seven years! I love learning and teaching anyone and everyone about the great wonders of numbers! I have been an Instructor at our Warner Robins Mathnasium since 2023 and I look forward to meeting you in Macon very soon!

Hello, my name is Sarah! I attend Covenant Academy. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects. My favorite part about math is the satisfaction you get when solving problems. When I have free time I love to garden, play tennis, and spend time with my dogs. I’m excited to get to know everyone and share my passion for math with your son or daughter!

Lowell

Hi, I’m Lowell. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the illustrious Tuskegee University and earned my M.B.A. from Mercer University. I serve as one of the leaders of our children's ministry at my church. I love supporting my wife, Dana, who helps with local plays, musicals, and shows at Macon Theatre. In my spare time I train for marathons, play video games, and entertain our 7 yr. old puppy, Apollo T’challa Dixon-Jones. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Hello, I’m Joshua and I’m thrilled to join Mathnasium. I find math enjoyable because it’s like solving a puzzle, with great satisfaction coming from seeing all the pieces fit together. Outside of my love for teaching, I’m engaged to my fiancé and have a keen interest in avionics. I’m eager to help your child experience the same sense of achievement and confidence in their math journey. See you soon!

Nice to meet you, I’m Matthew. I am a college student at Mercer University. I love to solve problems and to teach students how to work problems. When I’m not at school or working I like to read, play golf, and cook. I’m excited to meet you and help your child with their math journey!
