Dima Omran
Before opening the Marshfield center, Dima and her husband Mohammad ("Mo") Omran had already experienced the success of the Mathnasium Method. All five of their children were Mathnasium students themselves, who gained confidence in their abilities and grew to excel in math thanks to Mathnasium's approach. Their daughter even went on to become a Mathnasium instructor. This positive experience inspired Dima and Mo to open their own Mathnasium center in Marshfield in 2019. Having struggled with math until she was 16, Dima finds a tremendous sense of gratification in creating a "no judgement zone" for every student at her center. Her team of dedicated, competent, and compassionate instructors are keen on helping kids catch up, keep up, and stay ahead in math while building up their self-esteem in the process.
Dima has lived in five countries in her lifetime: She was born and raised in Jordan, went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, returned to Jordan for a professional career as an English Teacher and then as an Advertising Account Manager, moved to Egypt where she was the office manager of an international school, briefly relocated to Canada, and then in 2012 made her way to Cohasset, where she and Mo are raising their blended family. Their eldest daughter Serene is a sophomore at the Commonwealth Honors College at Umass Amherst, and eldest son Walid attends Northeastern University. Daughter Leila & son Ali are juniors in high school and are both on the high honor roll. Youngest daughter Samar is in 7th grade and passionate about basketball and cross country, yet still manages to excel in school. The whole family enjoys spoiling their beloved dog Bailey!
