Hi, I'm Nirupa! Growing up, my favorite subjects were Mathematics and Science, and I pursued them both, eventually graduating in Biomedical Engineering. I worked as a lecturer back in India, where I discovered my passion for teaching. Mathematics serves as the foundation for critical thinking and problem-solving skills. From finance to cooking, shopping, health, and even travel, math plays a crucial role in our daily routines. By showcasing how math is useful and practical in everyday life, I aim to help students build their confidence and improve their problem-solving skills. Outside of math, I love to craft, garden, and cook.

For as long as I can remember, I've always been drawn to math. Even before enrolling in school, I found math enjoyable and exciting. Due to admiring math so much, my teachers would always ask me to assist other students with their work. Knowing that I can help others in growing confident and comfortable with math brings me great joy.

Parker

Mathematics has always filled me with wonder and curiosity beyond all comprehension. As I pursue higher education and complete research both as a mathematician and an educator, the beauty and order that arise from such a complex and infinite system continue to make me feel like a child having their first “light bulb moment.” My desire to encourage and inspire the future generation, paired with this passion for mathematics helps me build meaningful relationships with students, enabling them to discover the power of their minds along with the extraordinary world of mathematics and problem-solving.

Kris (Kartik)

Hi, I'm Kartik also known as Kris. When I was in middle school, I took many high-level math courses which led to me developing an interest and love for the subject. Later, I competed in multiple state-level math competitions such as the AMC 8, Washington State Mathematics Championship, Math Kangaroo, and more. Based on this knowledge, I developed a deep understanding of math and its core values and principles. I am now pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering which has a base built from math and its fundamentals. I hope to share my knowledge with students and the coming generation to help prepare them for the future and show them how wonderful math is and how it will benefit their lives. Outside of math, I love riding motorcycles and playing video games, along with anything that sparks my adrenaline such as skydiving and roller coasters.

I have always been interested in mathematics, and because of my love of math, I am pursuing a degree in Physics. In high school, I would always try to help my classmates with their homework when they were struggling. I enjoy teaching and want to help students understand concepts of math that can be confusing.

As the Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Marysville, I am dedicated to fostering a love for math in every student. My passion for mathematics began early in life, driving me to excel academically and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I’ve had the privilege of working at Mathnasium as both a tutor and team lead, where I’ve seen how personalized math instruction can transform a student’s confidence and academic success. My goal is to create an environment where students not only improve their math skills but also learn to appreciate the beauty and logic of mathematics. I believe that math is not just a subject but a vital tool for problem-solving and critical thinking that students will carry with them throughout their lives.
