Candy earned dual degrees in Business Information Systems and Accounting from the University of North Texas. After several years in the telecommunications industry, she made the life-changing decision to step away from the corporate world as a project manager to become a full-time stay-at-home mom—an experience she considers both the most challenging and the most rewarding season of her life.
While homeschooling her children, Candy discovered a deep passion for education. She taught middle school math and science and helped lead a homeschool co-op, where she gained valuable experience in both instruction and organization. During that time, she found great joy in helping students grow in confidence and realize they were capable of more than they thought—especially in math.
After her youngest graduated from high school, Candy joined Mathnasium, where she loves helping students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and believe in their ability to succeed—one concept at a time.
When she’s not teaching, Candy enjoys spending time with her family, especially when it includes good food and plenty of laughter.
