Welcome! I'm Azra Khan, the Center Director for Mathnasium of Mendham. As the daughter of a college professor and granddaughter of a high school principal, I am passionate about education. I believe helping kids gain the confidence and understanding needed to succeed in Math can positively impact all aspects of their lives. One of my most rewarding experiences was having the opportunity to teach Math and English to children in South Asia. I loved the moments when the lightbulb went on for the kids. My philosophy to teach in a way that makes sense for the kids in a fun and positive environment aligned perfectly with Mathnasium. In my experience with my own two kids, I find there is a constant struggle with math problem solving skills. At Mathnsaium, we teach problem solving skills in a way that makes sense to each student as an individual. Through our customized programs and partnering with students, parents, and schools, we will help students improve their math skills, build self confidence, and improve their attitude and homework habits. I hold a Master's in Business Administration and I am a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience helping my clients and mentoring younger staff members.
My favorite math joke: Have you ever noticed what's odd? Every other number!
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
