Tahra

Tahra leads Mathnasium of Metairie, where she is dedicated to empowering students to build strong math foundations, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their mathematical abilities. Passionate about making math understandable and enjoyable, Tahra loves seeing the “light bulb” moment when students master concepts they once thought were difficult. She values strong community ties and works to partner with local schools and organizations to enrich student learning and success. 

Tahra also has experience as a private math tutor for elementary, high school, and college students. She enjoys connecting with learners across different ages and learning styles, helping students not only improve their math skills, but also develop curiosity, confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Tahra built a successful career as a Human Resources leader and Professional Development Coach. She also served as a Business Advisor with the Peace Corps in Guatemala, where she taught business concepts to entrepreneurs and supported small business development. 

A native of New Orleans, she earned an MBA from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Xavier University of Louisiana. She also holds professional certifications in both Human Resources and Coaching.
