Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Rex Schoolcraft

Regional Director

Rex is a versatile educator and leader who brings a deep passion for mathematics and teaching. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Wyoming and began his career as a high school math teacher.

Drawn to Mathnasium for its intuitive curriculum and broad impact, Rex thrives in an environment that helps thousands of students daily. He believes Mathnasium gives him the language to explain math the way he truly thinks about it. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing simulation games, strumming his guitar, and spoiling his dog.

Jeff McCabe

President

Jeff earned an Economics degree from James Madison University before discovering his passion for teaching. He went on to earn a Master’s in Education from George Mason University and taught math at both the high school and college levels for a decade.

After leadership roles in national restaurant operations and training, Jeff returned to his educational roots by joining Mathnasium. He’s committed to helping students thrive through meaningful, engaging math instruction. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys time with his wife of 28 years, their two dogs, and visiting their three adult children.

James Temple

CEO

James discovered his love for math in middle and high school, eventually earning a Mathematics degree from the University of Virginia in 2000. He then served as an aircraft maintenance officer in the U.S. Air Force for seven years, where he began tutoring homeschooled students and saw firsthand the frustration many kids feel toward math.

That experience inspired him to pursue further education, earning an MBA from UVA’s Darden School of Business in 2007. Now, as CEO of Mathnasium, James is passionate about helping students overcome math anxiety and build problem-solving skills that last a lifetime.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
