Walker

Assistant Center Director

Walker is our Assistant Center Director. He is studying mechanical engineering at USA. His favorite movie is Interstellar. Walker says, “I’ve always enjoyed doing math, especially at higher levels, but one thing I’ve come to enjoy most about Mathnasium is hearing about all the careers our students want to pursue after high school.” 

Kevin

Franchise Owner
Kevin owns the Mathnasium of Mobile, Alabama franchise as well as the location in Eastern Shore (Fairhope) He owned and operated a pair of national software development companies specializing in education-based platforms for many years. He has a BS in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University. Kevin comes from an educational background. His father taught math at the high school and junior college level for more than 40 years and his mother taught English and was the public relations director for a community college. He decided to open a Mathnasium franchise because he saw an opportunity to help the students of Mobile and Baldwin County improve their critical math skills. At Mathnasium, the goal is to take the mystery out of math and make it relatable. Kevin is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to students in the Mobile area and teaching math in a way that makes sense to students.

Seth

Instructor
Seth is a current student at the University of South Alabama, majoring in Computer Science and Math. He's also a member of the United States Air Force Command. Seth says math isn't just a subject in school, it's a way of thinking. "teaching this way of thinking helps prepare students for higher level critical thinking later in life," he says. "It leads people to becoming problem solvers."

Julie

Instructor
Julie is a student at South Alabama, majoring in biological sciences. She's an outstanding math instructor and has a real gift for working with kids of all ages. She's easily able to switch from basic number identification to Calculus depending on the student's need. "Math is a constant in life," Julie says. "It comes with so many logical and problem solving skills that apply beyond the classroom.

Savannah

Instructor

Savannah is a student at the University of South Alabama. She is studying biomedical engineering. Her favorite movie trilogy is The Lord of the Rings. She’s almost fluent in ASL! Savannah says her favorite thing about working at Mathnasium is being able to watch each student grow in their confidence with math. We are happy to have Savannah on our team!

Vincent

Samantha

Instructor

Samantha is studying accounting at the University of South Alabama. Her favorite TV show is The Great British Baking Show. She has two cats and one dog. She likes to take her pets for walks, in particular her cat named Trixie! Samantha enjoys connecting with the students at Mathnasium. 

Karson

Instructor

Karson is studying computer science at the University of South Alabama. His favorite movie is Dune 2. He has one dog, named Kassie. Karson enjoys playing the guitar. Karson said, “Mathnasium feels less like work for me and more like an opportunity to better teach about a field that can be so commonly given up on because of the way it's taught.” 

Evans

Instructor

Evans is studying biomedical sciences at USA. Their favorite movie is Lily & Stitch. Evans has a kitty. Evans also speaks French! Evans said the best part of working at Mathnasium is "seeing the kids put their own spin on topics, they're so creative!"
