A highly accomplished student and leader, he serves as Vice President of the Senior Class and Vice President of the National Honor Society, is a member of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) , Italian Honor Society and is a LEAD Mentor (Leadership, Empowerment and Development).

Anthony loves sharing a wide range of math subjects and inspiring students to feel confident and successful. Nothing is more rewarding to him than helping students close skill gaps so they can solve future problems on their own.

In addition to his strong academic record, Anthony completed the Exploring Teaching as a Profession course, a SUNY-aligned program focused on instructional strategies, certification pathways, professional expectations, and hands-on classroom observation.

Outside of school, he is a certified 3rd Degree Black Belt, senior instructor, and leadership team member at United Martial Arts Centers (UMAC) in Monroe. His favorite number is 19.

Melanie

Melanie has a true passion for teaching math and takes pride in making concepts clear, engaging, and accessible for every learner. She understands that each child learns differently and is committed to providing individualized support in a patient and encouraging environment where students feel successful and capable.

Families value Melanie’s experience, warmth, and ability to connect with children while maintaining high expectations for growth and achievement.

When she is not teaching, Melanie enjoys reading, decorating homes, painting, and spending time with her family and her dog.

James

Instructor

James brings a strong academic background and a passion for higher-level math to our students. He graduated from SUNY Albany in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in both Computer Science and Physics, along with a minor in Mathematics.

James specializes in upper-level math, including Pre-Calculus and Calculus, and has experience tutoring college students at Rockland Community College, where he helped them build confidence and master challenging concepts.

Math runs in the family. His grandfather was an engineer who later became a math tutor and even wrote a book about making math fun for kids. That same spirit of enthusiasm and encouragement carries into James’s teaching style today.

His favorite number is e (2.71828…) because it appears throughout math and science.
