A new learning center opened up in Mountain View recently, and fans gathered to celebrate.
On April 13, Mathnasium received an official welcome to the city. This is the second location for Kobad Bugwadia, who also has a location in Campbell, and one of six after-school learning centers in Mountain View.
"We are looking forward to much success here," Bugwadia said. "For our youth today, science and technology is the key to success. Math should not stop them from getting ahead."
Mathnasium offers one-on-one instruction in math for students from the second to twelfth grade. The curricula includes a range from addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions for the elementary kids, to pre-algebra, algebra. word problem solving, integers, geometry, probability and statistics. Their goal is to provide tutoring to students in Mountain View and Los Altos.
"We are a community that epitomizes STEM [Science Technology Engineering Math] learning, or what I like to call STEAM, because the arts also builds creativity that fuels science and math," said Kasperzak. "We have a lot of great opportunities in Mountain View and our goal is to help you grow in the city."
Located at 2510 West El Camino Real, #4, in the San Antonio Shopping Center complex next to the and Chase Bank, Mathnasium is open Mondays through Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"Kobad has a huge heart and wants to help students do well in math," said Oscar Garcia, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, "and math is an indicator of student success in college."
